Arc: 4 Chapter: 12
As the dark skies flew on past the world below there was the lingering presence of disruption. The change of winds had brought things back from the dying ground, strange grey plants began to slowly grow from the ground, mountains began to regain their snowy peaks, and valleys began to flow with black water. Yet, the white noise poisoning your psyche is ever persistent, it was if a cacophony of voices ached at the back of your ears the further you walked on. How can one keep appearances for much longer..how can we keep the silence..these small distractions are holding off the inevitable..our chaos! Our Destruction! All of it is riddled with its eyes! Spider and its slaves wrapped in webs?! The very seams between objects being dragged in by our Karma! Yet we're left here..to hear the qualms of mortals..their lifetimes short..the space of time ever stretching..their pain..ever so Needed.Clanking of old metal against a large lumbering body moved ever so slowly ahead, the four large splayed feet of the dragon moving ahead like a monitor lizard as it sniffled the ground ahead. Strapped to the very front of the seating on such a beast was Dante, his tattered clawed hands gripping firmly on the horn of his saddle as the leads wrapped from his wrist, his body swaying left to ride in soft motions as the bulky weight of the dragon influenced all. Somehow given permission was the small siren whom was allowed to sit on the back of the saddle right behind the strange guy. Her attention dazed someplace else as she held onto the straps tied around the dragons waist to keep herself mounted, her energy struck hands pulsating softly in the wake of her weakness..with dust slowly blowing on her now dirtied face. The only one left was Hijìn, who held onto to a small lead as he walked alongside the dragon ever so carefully- his bones feeling the ache of his own body weight as he pressed on..keeping tabs of the changing environment around them.
With the three of them moving as one through the calmness of the storm Dante pressed something on the man: "Say Tall Feller..", Hijìn glancing up at the strange guy to listen to what's being asked, "Would'ja be able to tell me if..uh..something's still a issue?" The man somewhat confused by the question pressed forth, for he hadn't used his mouth to express himself since he broke down not long ago...simply using his soul sight to communicate: "What Issue? We just met." Dante appeared to seem somewhat uneasy by the question in his mind, scratching the back of his head with a spare hand as they kept on before saying: "It's just..ya got such a strange scent on ya..and it's makin me question sum." Dropping his hands back to the horn of his saddle Dante worse off his calm demeanor and stared ahead, the quiet of the world around them ever growing as the world rejected any to all sound made him go forth and ask: "Are them demons..those..parasites? Still round..?"
Hijìn pressing onwards looked away, his mind clouded with the memories of the experiences he's had, the horrors witnessed, the fights taken, the sights of loss..and his own self haunting trauma lingering in his brain stem made him answer begrudgingly: "Unfortunately..they're at the brink of destroying everything..with their matriarch they're nearly unstoppable..and even now they haunt us." A sudden loud bang and Hijìn looked up and saw Dante quickly put away his revolver in its holster, turning to his right and he saw a small fox-like creature blasted in half on the ground truly dead as he heard in a somewhat breaking up rage: "T-Those..demons..Those..Bastards! After all we been through..those Sacrifices! Throwin whole posse's of bootlickers at the armies! Our King going so far as to launch himself at the hordes! The other homes from other star systems getting destroyed in their harbor of chaos..and you tell me they somehow survived the war and now are even stronger?! I Can't Believe You!" Hijìn furrowed his brow and faced ahead, not able to say much as he couldn't truly comment on what they've been through he merely shakes his head and looked back saying: "You'd have to..because if it wasn't for them..I wouldn't be here today..if it weren't for them..this nightmare would've ended a long time ago..I'd be spared."
