Arc: 4 Chapter: 14 (2/4)
Exposed to the exterior matte of the cave was left with the surrounding entrenchment. The ever expanding sight of tents and makeshift shelters all amassed in a large colony, the very walls of the tents seeming like an ever present wall of many shades of brown to keep the world out. The never ending sight of the rolling black clouds and grey world was nothing ever surprising to not see, for what it was worth, you aren't truly alone...? For even these shadows of memories..offer more mortality..than even the most sane of living Men.
Foot crunching on the cold soil, Hijìn stepped ahead and stared onwards to the surroundings past them. It was an elevated valley they had dug themselves into, the shallow tents beyond them were a hundred feet or more to give them some sense of distance. His hair slowly swaying alongside the false breeze was just another memory of how truly dead this world could be..or how many times..it can't ever be forgotten how unforgiving this place may be. With the raw skin connection to this soil..he could feel the true emptying numbness of the ground beneath him, the very souls that make the very space around them made the air palpable.
Jingling of keys behind him, Hijìn saw Dante walk his way over with Coco who both seemed unenthusiastic. Dante having his left hand fixed on his new robotic waist as he walked stopped in front of the man along with the small woman, he shook his head in disappointment as the two men looked down at Coco. The short woman sighing mumbling to herself as she scratched at her stomach through her overalls: "m..my stitches..don't know how long they'll hold it all in..my body", she stopped and faced up at the two giants of men feeling somewhat small. "O-Oh! Y-yeah..my bad I forgot to say between pages..I Uhm..are we ready?" Coco said remembering what she was supposed to mention as Dante looked aside and Hijìn stared off quite off put.
"I mean. Darn..I already know how well how them folk gonna behave with ol' me, but I really don't wanna see them old bastards." Dante said rubbing the back of his neck with his left hand as Hijìn furthered it by commenting: "I'd...rather not get attacked again-." With the bug man turning to face him saying as he looked up to meet eye contact: "Well- we don't really got a choice on here..even we kinda screwed, if this here meetin goes south we're all kickin the bucket." "And we must also consider Hijìn's infection, we know absolutely nothing about it and who knows if it's as benign as it appears to be. And if they find out? They'd definitely attack him on the spot?!" Coco said concerned as the fluttering of wings behind her caught her attention for a second.
Dante facing the two bird fuckers come forth from the cave fully made him place his hand on Coco's head and face them. The small woman blinking once in confusion as her head was somewhat forced down from the hand planted on her head said nothing. Hijìn facing ahead as well watched Zhilla and Zòn approach forth with Whistèrïa. The siren having a solemn look on her face wiped her cheek and whispered something to Zòn before Zhilla approached her. The bug man whispered to the two of them by projecting his mind to the others saying: 'Angle Head definitely milked her on good, if he don't see us move he won't let us go..let's just skid before we get turned into shell paste', just as Zhilla went down and scooped Whistèrïa up in his massive arms and extended his raven wings out along with Zòn's.
Out of the blue, Coco bit Dante's hand to snag his attention from death glaring the bird, he hissed as he shook his hand violently from the pain as the red marks of her teeth stung on his exoskeleton. "Fine! Fine! I'll move ma rear..", Dante said as he rubbed his hands together to alleviate the pain with the trio moving away. Hijìn being the last one to move from the trio held on for a second as he faced Zhilla, the undead looking man's black eyes locked onto the beast mans and they stayed on each other even as the man began to walk. It was an unsettled tension between the two as Zhilla and Zòn finally unfurled and blasted up into the skies, the thrust they released to gain flight sent dust everywhere as they vanished into the horizon of the encampment.
