"And there you go. You look pretty."

Sunoo admired his handiwork. I looked into the mirror and traced the little white flower clip that pinned a few of my curls to the back. I could never with the amount of patience this guy has to try out so many hairstyles. I was more tired just sitting and waiting for him to be done. But not gonna lie, the feeling of his hands in my hair felt too nice.

"It's really cute, Sun. You must be tired though." I said.

"Nah. It was fun." He said.

"Oh. Wow, what do we have here?"

Sunghoon put his phone down as he stared at my hair. He was sprawled on the bed since Sunoo started doing my hair. But he soon got bored of watching us and started scrolling through his phone.

"You look like beautiful, love."

I did not miss the way his eyes trailed down my outfit. I had my high-waisted skinny black jeans on with a tight-fitted thin black top. I wasn't showing any skin but I knew that this particular outfit enhanced my silhouette.

"Thank you, Hoonie." I said.

I took my ID from Sunoo. I loved my ID cards. People usually don't like them. But I did. I think a good ID enhances your outfit. And my thick orange strap ID did enhance my outfits all the time. Particularly this one, which contrasted very well with my all-black outfit.

I took my bag and checked for all the items. This Tuesday, all my exams were going to be done. When I came into the living room, I saw there were two people from the staff speaking to Jay and Heeseung. I paused in my tracks, not knowing whether to make my presence known or not. I had never seen a staff inside here so it made me kind of nervous all of a sudden.

I felt a hand enclose mine. Sunghoon pulled me along with him to the living room, Sunoo following closely behind. I could hear Jay speaking to them.

"Yes, we'll add that in- oh you're here, sweetheart." He smiled at me and looked back at the staff. "We'll speak later."

His voice held the finality. I took in the expression of those people. They were definitely annoyed by my interruption. And when their gazes flitted to Sunghoon still holding my wrist, I saw them raise an eyebrow.

I saw one of them give me a stink eye. When Sunghoon's eyes had raked over my body earlier, I wanted to bite my lip seeing the look in his eyes. Now when I was getting the same look from this male staff, I wanted to hide behind Sunghoon.

What was happening to me? Why was I behaving dependent? I would've glared at a man like this earlier. But stepping behind Sunghoon and letting him deal with the staff seemed more appealing. It was quite bothering to think how natural that felt.

"I'll tell Jungwon that we have to discuss the stage positions." Heeseung said firmly. But everyone in the room understood the underlying meaning - Leave, right now

The staff scrambled away and it felt like I could breathe again.

"You look beautiful." Jay complimented me. Heeseung gave me a soft smile.

"Thanks, Jay. Courtesy of Sunoo." I said.

I heard the boy giggle behind me.

"Shall we get going?" Heeseung asked me.

I looked at my watch. "But we have an hour still. We can leave after 20 minutes." I said.

"I just saw that there was traffic. So we should leave early." He countered.

"Oh. Fine then." I picked up my phone from the table and checked the contents of my bag for the last time.

"All the best, darling." I heard Jake scream from the bathroom, making me sputter out a laugh.
