Chapter 6

He was shocked to say the least.

"But you don't have to..." he sputtered out.

"I know I don't have to. But instead of taking the same metro with the same destination and pretending we've never seen each other before, wouldn't be nice if we went together?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.

Nishimura Riki was in front of me. In my place. Without any bodyguard, without his members, without a clue to where he is. Alone. And I would rather skip my weekend exams than leave him alone in this place. By the way he kept his face down, letting his cap cover him, he did not want me to know who he is. My inner fangirl was on silent mode and I hope to keep it that way until we find the rest of the enhypen. A bubble of laugher almost spilled out of my mouth remembering the rest of the boys. I wasn't going away the fact that I know him, lest he runs away. My fingers were itching to straight up book an uber to Charminar to get him to safety as soon as possible. But I held back. What if he thinks I'm a sasaeng kidnapping him?

Whatever internal conflict, Niki was going through for a few seconds, ended after what felt like a long time. He adjusted his cap and muttered a 'Thank you' before moving aside, gesturing me to lead the way.

I walked in front of him and climbed onto the escalator of the station. He followed suite and I could see that he wanted to look around but kept his face down.

On the concourse, I took a ticket for him to the station nearest to Charminar. And I was pleasantly surprised to feel a pull on my sleeve. I turned to see Niki looking a bit scared for some reason. He did not say anything and just kept on pulling. I thought he was nervous to be in this place because there were so many girls whom I would assume would listen to kpop.

"We're almost done here" I say and grab his hand and led him through the security.

I scanned his ticket for him and pulled out my phone to scan my card. He was quite confused for a second until I showed him the card I had on my flip cover. We were just waiting for the elevator when I saw a girl point to Niki and whisper something to her 2 friends.

Oh.

The concourse, as the board said, was supposed to have the ticket counters and security then leading to 2 platform on the second floor. The girl went to take tickets for us making me stand near the pharmacy store. She was really going out of her way to get me back to Charminar. Atleast I hope she was. I would regret everything more if she turned out to be a sasaeng. But until she looked like she was helping me, I should be nice to her. While I was making up my mind to ask her name, I heard a girl gasp beside me. I was high alert and decided to walk upto the girl who was just getting out of the line. Grabbed her sleeve and she spun around. I was really embarrassed but that was the last thing that was bothering me. I just pulled her sleeve a bit more.

"We're almost done here." She said and held my hand taking me through the security.

I could feel my cheeks heating up but I would be fine if my ears don't become red. I had thought she recognized me earlier when her phone slipped form her hands. But she called me pretty and I just knew my ears were red. People usually called me handsome. But hearing it from a random stranger who doesn't know you hits different. We were now standing in front of the lift when she held my hand again and pressed her to my side. I must've moved away but I felt her hand pinching my side.

"'Stay still." She muttered.

She pressed the button again and looked behind her making me do the same. I saw a few older ladies glaring at us and talking to some teenagers with a scowl. The girl beside me smiled to herself and almost pushed me in when the elevator came. It was just the two of us and we were on the platform within seconds. I wanted to know who calls this place 2nd floor because holy shit it felt like 7th floor. I could see a shadowy line of mountains from the railing. And after listening to Sunoo showing me the map the whole evening, I could certainly say there was no mountains nearby. Damn how far did I come? There were 2 platforms facing each other with a black screen indicating the time of arrival for the next train. 5 mins.

5 minutes. Today was one of the days when I wanted to scream. I distracted those girls with those aunties who must've started spewing shit about modern generation. But I wasn't sure if they recognized him or were just intrigued by a 6 feet guy who's dressed like a stalker in K-dramas. Hoping it was the latter, I sat on a bench. I needed to choose which compartment to get on. Which one would be the safest.

"What's your name?" Niki was leaning on the wall near the railing. H looked a bit more comfortable than he did before.

I turned to face him while sitting. "Leah"

I was craning my neck up so bad but I did not mind getting a sprain while looking at this beautiful creature. He looked hot AF and my mind was spinning looking at him this close. I wanted to strike a conversation with him but I did not know what to ask. Thankfully he beat me to it.

"How old are you?" He asked again while tilting his head.

No no no. I won't fangirl now. It's now the time.

"Oh I'm 21." I smile at him which I suppose he returned, judging from the faint creases near his eyes.

"How did you stray so far from Charminar? It's nearly 30 kms from here." I asked. Wanting to punch him for his carelessness.

He looked really embarrassed for a minute and said, "Well...I took a bus to go somewhere but I fell asleep and crossed the stop." He said sheepishly.

"You took a bus alone? Without your friends? Why?" I asked trying to suppress my anger. This kid needed to be cuffed to his hyungs. "You should be careful when you're in a new place. Why did you even leave their side?"

"Well, none of your business. I don't need permission to do so." He said, not trying to suppress his anger. Oops. Shouldn't have said that.

I turn back and stare ahead. In a minute or 2, I felt him sit beside me.

"Look, I'm sorry, you're helping me so much and I shouldn't have gotten angry." He said quietly.

I turned my face and he was looking at me sincerely.

"It's fine. You're pretty stressed. Understandable." I say not taking my eyes of him.

Another minute passed in a comfortable silence. The train was about to come any second now. I prayed to god that things go smoothly from here. But obviously he did not hear me. Because the next second, my phone rang. And Niki's head snapped to the device in my hand.

Because the song blaring from my phone was 'Orange Flower'.
