Chapter 49

I opted for the biggest mall in the city. This mall always had a handful of people present no matter what day or time it was.  It was the exam time for both college and schools so malls were going to be fairly empty. And empty places attracted more attention from the few people. So Nexus was the best option out there, with the just right amount of people for us to blend in. Everyone's mouth was hanging open in awe at how big the place was. The only comparison I needed to make was that it's larger than the hotel.

"Here we are. Check this board out and see which floor you want to go to first." I pointed at the floor information boards. And they discussed among themselves.

"Done. We'll go for the casual wear first in 3rd floor." Jake said.

"Great." I led them through the mall and it took us a full 20 minutes for us to reach there. Because Sunoo an Niki kept getting distracted by other stores and Jake had to drag them forward.

"That one!" Heeseung pointed at the line of stores.

Zara, H&M, Gap, Vera Moda, Gucci, Louis Vuitton...

I knew it. The boys first made there way to Zara. I had always seen this store from outside. That wood theme and yellow lighting added to its beauty. For me it just looked more mesmerizing and scary. The ladies standing at the door had such proud look on their faces whenever a passerby stared a second too long. I'd seen that look once and I stopped glancing at the store all together. What's the use of wanting something when you know you can't have it?

I had the chance to step inside this place today because of the boys. But when I did, the intimidating place left no chance to remind me that I didn't belong here. The ceiling itself was 2 story high with chandeliers handing from it. And small lamps at seven feet high. All in all, it was an aesthetic board from pinterest. I felt relieved that my dressing today had not let me down. The store was fairly empty with only 3 or 4 people here and there. And I had seen two girls at the corner having similar vibes in their styling.

"Lee come here!" Jungwon called me. The boys had all scattered here and there in sections they wanted to visit. I made my way to jungwon who was holding a black hoodie with white cuffs and collar.

"What do you think?"

I took it from him and held it up against his shoulder.

"Hmm...it's good. But the color palet is too basic." I said and looked around to find something better. I took a muted yellow hoodie out and held it against him.

"Umm hmm. This one. You look cute." I said and he immediately dropped it in his basket.

Sunoo joined us in the hoodie section and I helped both of them to pick some out. But I stopped doing it altogether when they did not even bother to check the clothes properly and just dropped everything I picked into their basket. Then it was only them showing the clothes to me and me giving my opinion about it.

"My Lee, look."

I saw Sunoo holding a nude pink hoodie which was cropped upto the right below the chest. Clearly for girls.

"I'm not buying anything Sunoo." I said. That hoodie was going to be in my basket in future because damn it was pretty.

"What do you mean you're not?" Jungwon poked his head out from the rack and stretched his arm out. He had three pastel hoodies with him. "Don't tell me I've been wasting my time since past few minutes."

Oh. So the lavender and coffee colored hoodie he showed me earlier was for me. I was really touched but this wasn't what I wanted.

"Won, thank you so much. They're really pretty but I mean, I'm not. I don't need anything." I said.
