Sejin threw the phone on the couch. He rubbed his face in frustration.
"What the fuck do they mean they're not coming tomorrow?! They're acting like brats. I wish I could beat some sense into them."
"Again? What's holding them back this time?" The performance director, Ha Joon, asked him.
"Definitely that girl. I swear to God I could choke the life out of her if she were here. Leah this, Leah that." He fumed.
Ha Joon leaned back on the couch in the green room. He had been working relentlessly to make the concert a success. But some people just didn't care about it. He had heard of this girl from the staff. But he always thought they were exaggerating things. Until he was seeing it right in front of him.
"Why did you let her be around even?" He asked.
Sejin put out his cigarette. And lit another one. He took a puff, remembering the first time he had met her.
"She had hickeys on her neck. I thought Jay had finally decided in keeping one close instead of looking for random ones. That's the sole reason I let her stay. Or else I would've kicked her out. I didn't consider her important enough to monitor. But that was my biggest mistake. It was too late until I realized how obsessed they were with her." He finished.
There was silence for a moment. Until Go Joon broke it.
"Why are you letting them do what they want?" He asked.
This was something that went through everyone's mind. Why was Sejjn letting them do what they wanted?
"Because I need them to be under my control. That too willingly. But that girl has more power over them than I do."
He stopped right there and didn't elaborate further. Go Joon didn't ask again.
Sejin was everyone's senior. He was BTS's first manager. The one who stood by them when they lived in a single room. He was the reason why BTS was where it was now. But things had gone wrong. And he ended up being kicked out of Bighit. This was his last chance to climb back up in his position. And probably take revenge on Bang Sihyuk.
But time was repeating itself. Things were going the same as they had earlier. This time in the form of Leah Thomas. And Sejin would be damned if he was going to be reckless again.

1st Jan.
My phone vibrated from all the messages of Happy New Year. I responded to none of them. This year didn't start off happy for me. It was 8 AM and I was still in bed, listening to all the notifications.
Frequently, a separate tune echoed. I think this was the 12th ping from them since I had woken up half an hour ago. I did not see any of them. Their flight will take off in an hour. I had no will to look at their consolation. So I just laid in bed with Pinu and SunSun and closed my eyes.
Someone knocked on the door. My shot open and I sat down.
"Ha, mamma."
My mother opened the door and came in.
"It's 8 and you're still sleeping? Get up quickly. I need help in cleaning." She said.
I nodded and got up. I just cleaned everything yesterday. What else there was, I didn't know. My classmates considered me a clean freak and my mother considered me the most untidy person ever. Figures. I gave one last look to my phone before getting to work.
I ate my breakfast alone. My mother cleaned the kitchen and my father out to get groceries. I sighed and kept my eyes on the TV. I just wanted to sleep in. Maybe I could do that tomorrow when they both will be at work.
