I walked along the bustling footpath. My feet covered the familiar path absent-mindedly. It had been a long time since I was here. Maybe 7 or 8 months? I saw the green vines on the Cafe door and a smile grew on my face. I pushed it open and walked in, taking in the familiar aroma of fast food. My eyes searched the tables and I saw her at the window seat.

Sanu's eyes lit up with joy as soon as she saw me walking towards her. She lept up from the seat and took me in a bone-crushing hug.

"Bae! It's been so long." She squealed.

"Aw, Bae I missed you too. I'm happy they finally kicked you out of the project." I laughed.

She kicked my shin lightly. "I did not get kicked out. I just delegated some of my duties."

"Of course you did."

We sat down at the table and the next half an hour passed by in a blur of story exchanges. We had met after 4 months because of of our hectic schedule and even though we talked regularly on calls, there was always something left out.

"And I slammed the file on the table in front of him. The poor soul jumped a feet in the air and I felt so bad later." She grimaced.

"He just complied what the team had collected. You shouldn't have directed your anger at him." I said.

"I know. But how am I supposed to make the presentation when the important information is missing?" She said.

"True." I nodded.

She took a bite of her noodles. There was a moment of silence. It wasn't awkward by any means. But the things swirling in my mind were surely making me a bit dizzy. Just do it. I thought.

"Bae, there's something I want to ask you." I start casually.

"Yep." She looked at me.

"What is your opinion on poly?" I asked.

"Poly?" She scrunched her nose a bit and took another bite. "You know I love a cute poly. Like Rosalie, Emmet and OC. Or Alice, Jasper and OC..."

I shook my head. "Not-"

"Don't say Edward, Jacob and OC or I'll kill you." She pointed her fork at me.

"I know. I'm not saying that. I mean a real-life poly." I asked.

She thought for a while before shrugging.

"It might work in the west. And if you're in the east, just choose one. Because there's no way you'll make it out alive." She said.

"Make it out alive?" I furrowed my brows.

"As in, you won't have a single moment of peace outside your house. People will rip you into shreds and feed those shreds to dogs." She shook her head.

I stayed quiet for a while. That was a pretty brutal explanation. She saw me looking down at her words.

"Or, you can have double action going on at once." She winked.

My mind went back to last night. I blinked the memory away.

"Yeah. Double you say." I muttered.

"By the way, who is it?" She asked.

I looked at her in disdain.

"What? I just want to know who my bestie here is confused between. I am angry that you didn't even tell me you met someone. But I'll scold you later. Now spill." She waved her fork around.

Double action. She's expecting two people. How can I say it's not two?

"I told you I met someone right? And we were friends?" I started tentatively.
