"Bae."

Sanu raised an eyebrow.

"I see how serious this is. You're not the type to hold hands with a boy in public." She said. Her voice gave nothing away. She said it in a factual manner.

"I mean...I was just..." what should I have said? There was no response to her statement.

Her eyes slid to Heeseung and lingered for a few seconds before sliding back to me. I turned to Heeseung.

"Go home. I'll be back soon." I muttered.

"No. I'll wait." He shook his head.

"No, Hee. Please go." I said and turned back to Sanu who was analyzing our interaction.

"Fine. Call me if you need me." He said and left but not before nodding towards Sanu in acknowledgment.

10 minutes later, Sanu and I were sitting in the nearest Cafe.

"I thought you were going to push them away." She said.

"I can't." I mumbled.

"So you've come into terms with the situation I hope." She said. "You do want both of them."

I sighed. "I do. As much as I'm ashamed to say this out loud, I love all of them."

I didn't realize what I had allowed to slip.

Sanu hummed.

"In that case, how serious are you people?"

I contemplated on how to tell her. And finally resorted to show her. I rolled my mock neck just an inch down. She merely nodded. I immediately rolled it back up.

"You're not surprised." I said suspiciously.

"No I'm not. I kind of expected this. Why and how? I don't know." She shrugged.

"You expected this?" I asked her.

"I did. But my only question is, are you being careful?" She raised her eyebrows.

I blinked and averted my eyes. "Yes."

"Good." She said.

"And are you really fine with doing this? Don't you think it's too early?"

"No. I'm fine. We love each other." I said.

"But they haven't even asked you out yet. You guys are not even official."

When circumstances are this unusual, I didn't really care about being asked out. I shrugged.

"Are you understanding yourself? Are you sure of this?" She prodded.

"I am, Bae. Trust me on this. It's just like how you told me about yourself. You just know it." I said.

"Being sure of sexual preferences is way different than coming to terms with multiple partners." She pointed.

"Still, to me this is what surety feels like." I said.

She sighed and sipped her cold drink. "If you are sure of it, there's nothing I will say. What are their names though? The one who was with you?"

"Evan Lee." I said.

Sanu knew how much I liked Enhypen. I've called her even late at night to rave about a Heeseung thirst trap that I had seen. And there's no way she wouldn't recognize his name.

"The other one?"

"Ethan."

I used Heeseung's fake English name. I felt really guilty for lying. For the names and for not telling her the actual number of boys. I had known her for more than 12 years now. And the thing she hated the most were celebrities.
