Leah kept standing in the living room. Sejin sat down on the couch and looked at her.

"Please sit down, miss." He gestured to the couch infront of him.

Leah took a seat on the opposite couch. Back straight and hands placed neatly on her lap. She waited for him to say something but he didn't. He was leaning on the arm rest and looking at her face. Even though she was really uncomfortable, she stayed put. She wsnt going to be fazed by him. Finally, he gave in.

"How long have you known the boys?" He asked.

"About two weeks, sir." She answered.

"And how did you meet them?"

"I found Niki in the city, sir. He'd lost his way."

"That punk.." sejin muttered. Leah heard him but kept quiet.

"You must be a sweet one, if you take every lost boy back to his place." There was a challenge in his eyes.

"No sir. I don't. I give them instructions to their way back. Which I gave to Niki until I realized who he was. As an engene, it was my duty to make sure he was safe and sound." She answered truthfully.

"Hmm. I see. And whom have you told about this? Seeing Niki, the boys?"

"No one sir."

"How close are you to them?"

Closer than you think. She thought.

"We're good friends." Her reply was short.

"How do they treat you?"

This question felt odd. Loaded with several questions it seems. Leah thought for a second to think of an answer.

"I'd say well. They're great people. Easy and fun to be around." She said finally.

"Do you like any of them?" There it was. The question she'd had a feeling would come. And this wasn't the time to be defensive and say no. She needed to be cool headed.

"I'm an Engene sir. Ofcourse I like all of them. Never thought I could be friends with my idols." She said.

She knew Sejin was expecting her to quickly deny it. And she was pleased to see that her response had caught him off guard. But what she didn't know, was that he also took that as a jab to his authority. He rubbed his chin and scanned her. What was special about her? Olive skin, short curly hair, thin rimmed glasses. She did not even have clear skin. Small acne scars littered her cheeks. Looking almost like freckles. Her body wasn't all that noticeable to him under her loose fitted top and jeans. She looked quite ordinary. It wasn't about her physical features.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

This question was too intrusive for Leah. To tell such personal details to a man she'd met 5 minutes ago. But it was necessary.

"No sir." She said.

"Why?" She had the urge to roll her eyes at him.

"Never thought of having one."

"Please elaborate. "

"My career and my future is the most important to me. Boyfriends are a distraction. And moreover, I wouldn't be able to give them enough love and support if I'm tangled in my own path."

Sejin was surprised yet again. He thought of her to be clear headed. She had a goal in her mind. She looked determined to achieve them. Sejin's worried were for nothing. The boys were just over protective of her. He had asked a staff to hide Heeseung's phone until he returned to the hotel. And he had come to know about what had happened. He still had his doubts on whether or not anyone liked her. All he found out was that Heeseung had flung the poor guy who was just doing as told.  She did not look like trouble to him. If she stayed around, they might either be more motivated or ignore their responsibilities. Hoping it was the earlier, he nodded and stood up.
