Blood dripped from Jay's hand. It trickled down from his battered knuckles and fell on the cold marble floor. His hand was swelling bright red. Apparently, he had not only busted them but tore open some ligaments and also suffered a few fractures to his finger joints. But he refused any treatment until he was sure Leah was alright.
Jake, Sunoo and Niki had little cuts and scratches on their legs from the broken pieces of ceramic they had sat on. They hadn't even realized it until a hospital staff pointed it out to them. They had to discard their pants, which had little pieces of ceramic lodged into them and take what the hospital staff had given them.
But it was nothing compared to what Leah had suffered. A sprained ankle, a fractured wrist, multiple bruises and cuts all over body, a severe head injury and a possible whiplash. They got lucky that there was no permanent damage to her brain or spine. She was going to recover quickly if odds were in their favor.
Jungwon rubbed the tiredness out of his eyes. He was waiting for when the doctors would allow them in to see her. His phone vibrated in his pocket and with that he remembered the mess they had left back there.
Shit. He needed to do something quick. He couldn't wait for the approval of the network.
Bodies, police, witnesses. So many things needed to be taken care of.
He got up from the waiting room and went outside the hospital building. Looking for a safe spot, he chose a bench in the empty garden. He opened his contacts and dialed her number. There was only one person whom he could trust.
"Noona, I need your help."

The room could pass off as a hotel bedroom if it weren't for the sterile odour of antiseptics. Or the huge white bedframe in the middle surrounded my monitors. And if it specially wasn't for the girl on the bed attached to all those monitors and the depressed looking boy beside her.
Heeseung's hand itched to hold hers. But seeing it all bandaged up and set in a cast, he didn't dare to. Once again, he was here next to her hospital bed. Once again, there was a white bandage wrapped around her head. This time, her ankles were in a cast as well. He could see the outlining of the bandages on her legs through her thin dressing gown. He gently caressed her face.
"Why does the world not let us be happy?" He whispered.
"Why is it so...adamant on breaking us...over and over again?"
A tear slipped from his eye. Since they had arrived, they had only caused her pain. Directly or indirectly, they had been the reason to all the problems she faced in the past three months. Each time they promised something to her, they failed it when the time came.
Just a few hours ago, he had been singing on the stage, pouring his heart into the song. And to think that she was battling people twice her size and defending herself in that moment.
"I may have failed again, princess. But I will fulfill my promise. Once you heal, we're leaving for good."

Sejin bit his tongue. The metallic taste of blood filled his mouth. His hands wouldn't stop shaking. He held his wrist tightly as he stared at the scene in front of him.
This...this was madness. No. It was something straight out of a psychotic movie. But who was be kidding? People make those kinds of movies because things like that happen in real life. And this was real life.
He'd seen his fair share of dead bodies. It wasn't anything new. But never had he seen something so grotesque. The yellow and brown storeroom was now red. Red painted the walls. Red was spreading on the tiles as well.
