Chapter 38

The next day I was dressed in white cargo pants and a Maroon crop top. I wanted to have full movement if we're going to a skate rink. I had reached the hotel by 10 15 a.m. and knocked on a random door out of the three. Jake opened the door and ushered me inside. He looked at me from top to bottom and cleared his throat.

"Lee, please give us a few minutes." He said and ran inside.

I already knew they would be late. So I wasn't surprised. I was alone in the room so I sat down on the counter and looked through my phone. Within the next 10 minutes, slowly the boys entered one by one.

"You look great, Lee!" Sunoo chirped.

"Thank you Sunoo. You don't look bad yourself." He was wearing a blue denim and a white tshirt with a blue jacket. By 10 30, everyone except Sunghoon was there. They all chattered about the previous times they've been to the ice rink.

"You've never been to an ice rink? A skate rink? You've never skated at all?" Jake was flabbergasted.

"No Jake I did not." I said and Jake started counting off the times he fell while skating. Not gonna lie, it scared me a bit when he said he sprained his ankle.

"Don't scare her Jake." Jay warned him. "Niki don't you dare try to climb up the counter. There is a chair in front of it."

Niki, who was halfway up the counter slid down and pouted.

"But it's fun." He took the chair beside me.

"Not for me bud. You already tower over everyone and if you sit there, there's no way I can even lift my head to look at you." I said and everyone started laughing.

"Ah really? I'm not that tall of a person." He scratched the back of his neck.

"Except for the fact where you are. People don't know what they have until they lose it. All of you are fucking towers." I pointed to everyone.

"Can't help it if you're short." Heeseung snickered.

"I find it funny to see her craning her neck to see our faces all the time." I whirled at Jay and saw him smother a laugh.

"Jay how can you betray me like this?" I faked sorrow and Jay smiled. "I wish I could be taller than you guys at some point." I huffed and the everyone chuckled.

Then I saw Sunghoon come out of the room in a hurry. He was picking some things up while Jungwon and Niki continued to tease me. I saw Sunghoon come over to the counter and I was about to say hi but what he did next took the greeting out of my mouth. He came to me where I was standing and literally lifted me up like the other day.

"Sunghoon!" I shrieked but he ignored me.

He put me on top of the counter and looked up at me.

"Now you're towering over everyone." He grinned and went back to arranging his items.

I looked around at the boys and they looked as shocked as I did. Niki muttered under his breath. Then looked at Jay.

"She gets a pass." He said and Niki rolled his eyes.

After a few more minutes, we were all ready to leave. Sunoo was back hugging me over my shoulder in elevator and we both swayed from side to side. A got a few glances but I ignored them all. I was having fun humming with Sunoo.
