Chapter 36

No one made any fuss about us being late. They accepted my explanation within any question. Even though a few looked suspicious, they did not inquire much. And that bought me to the far end of the table with Heeseung beside me. The tension between us was still present. A static spark traveled up my fingers each time our hands touched. I kept quiet most of the time and concentrated on my food rather than Heeseung's hand that was grazing my thigh. Overall, the lunch was pretty interesting if you ask me. If getting concerned glances from Jake across the table counts as interesting.

After lunch I decided to study for a while. I wanted to see how the boys react to me just studying and not paying attention to them. Or at least if I would be successful in ignoring them. I cleared the table ignoring Jay's protests and at the end he gave in.

"Jay, do you think I can study for a while here?" I asked him when the table was clean.

"Ofcourse you can. Make yourself comfortable anywhere you like. Dining, living room or bedroom of any room that you like." He said.

"I'll tag along with you if you. I think the maknaes will think twice before disturbing me." I grinned mischievously.

"Ah true." He chuckled. "Come on." He gestured to the dining we just cleaned. "I think this can work as a study table."

I bought my bag in from the entrance hallway and climbed up the seat. Jay sat beside me looking into his phone. Until he saw my bag.

"You love BTS ofcourse." He said.
My bag was galaxy colored with BTS and Army logo printed on it in the front.

"Yep. I do. This was the best birthday gift last year." I said hugging my bag.

"Oh. When's your birthday?" He asked me.

"It's on 5th Jan." I said and layed out my accounts.

He nodded and got back to his phone. Niki came in the living with a game console in his hand. And as soon as he saw me studying his shoulders slumped and he sat down next to me.

"What are you studying?" He put his head down on his arm and pouted at me. Yep this was going to be hard.

"Accounts" I said and continued.

Jay must've given him a look because Niki slumped even more. He did not say anything for a while. And I could concentrate on the problem I was doing. After an excruciating time of not getting my Cash Flow Statement to tally. I put my head down and started humming to Chamber 5 while thinking what I had missed. When it finally dawned on me, I bolted upright and several people jolted at once. I looked around the table and saw that literally everyone was there and everyone were giving each other confused looks.

"Umm...when did you all come?" I asked them.

"When you were murdering your page." Sunghoon said.

I looked down at the huge strikes I had made over the wrong answer and laughed.

"Yeah yeah." I muttered.
"You even said hi to me." Jake pouted.

"I did?" I looked at Jake.

"Me too." Sunoo chimed in.

"Sorry. I didn't realize." I said sheepishly. "Just give me a second please."

I redid the whole problem with the new idea I had hot and finally got the right answer. Niki started clapping beside me.

"Finally you got it. I was starting to get bored seeing that jumble of numbers" He yawned.

He was leaning over to see my notebook. Everyone was either on thier phones or chatting quietly.
