Chapter 73

I felt like a free bird. But I also had something weighing me down. The burden of exams that had left my shoulders was liberating. But at the same time, the fear of results had replaced it to a large extent. FM could've gone better than it did, but at least I was happy that it was gone now.

I bid goodbye to my friends and went to the car. Heeseung sat inside with a hopeful expression. I did not say anything as I climbed in. I settled in as usual, noting the absence of anyone in the backseat, that mostly had someone or the other accompanying Heeseung during the return journey. Then I finally turned to him.

"I'm happy that it's gone. Nothing else." I said sadly.

Heeseung gave me a small smile.
"What's done is done. Relax yourself now."

I nodded.

"Let's go home." He said and revved up the engine.

But unknown to him, my heart has sped up. 'Let's go home.' Home here being the hotel room they've been living in for the past 1 month. And the words sounded so natural coming out of him.

The whole ride, I was blabbering about my frustration with the exam.

"How could they ask for two Walter models in the same bit?! Not to mention Leverages was for 5 marks?! I was so fucking good at that and it usually came for 10 to 15 marks every year!"

He listened to it intently even though it must've gone over his head. And by the time we reached home, all the stress was out of me, leaving only the giddy feeling of exams being over.

When we stepped into the elevator, I was bouncing in my place with the excitement of seeing everyone. The past few days, I hadn't really talked much with anyone. I ran to the room and threw the door open.

As expected I was immediately tackled into a hug by Sunoo. I stumbled back into Heeseung before I could balance myself. I laughed at Sunoo's little jumps and patted his head. When I went in, Sunoo was replaced by Niki, Sunghoon, and Jay.

"Finally you're done." Sunghoon kissed my cheek.

When Jungwon came to me with a wide smile, I sidestepped him. He looked startled and confused.

"Wonnie." I cooed at him. "I was being serious."

I gave him a teasing smile before going back to Sunoo again. I back-hugged him and tsked at Jungwon's in disbelief.

"Did I miss something here?" Jay looked back and forth between me and Jungwon.

"Uh-huh. Jungwonnie is forbidden from coming near me for the next three days." I said.

Niki gasped.

"Be grateful," I warned him. He furiously nodded and held out a peace sign.

"But why?" Heeseung asked.

"Let's say he pulled some antics today morning." I said.

Everyone was bewildered. Jungwon sulked his way to the couch and plopped on it. Niki whispered something to Sunghoon and Sunghoon's eyes widened. But it did not bother me. I had my eyes set on searching for someone.

"Hoonie, where's Jake?" I asked him.

"Oh, he's sleeping since we came from the practice." He answered.

"And I think he's had enough sleep. Wake him up for me please." Jay said.

I nodded and quickly freshened up. Borrowing Sunoo's clothes was now a regular occurrence for me. It was surprising how they fit just right. I went to the other bedroom where Jake was sleeping.
