Three days passed. The staff had disappeared for some reason. I took up the job of monitoring their practices to the point we lived in the studio. I wasn't sure if I should be doing something like that. But Niki assured me that I had an eye for catching mistakes pretty quickly.

I didn't believe him at the start but he still forced me to sit and watch them. And true to his words, I did notice some minor mistakes here and there. Most of them were differences in movement, spacing in formation, or sometimes out of sync. But I felt really nervous to point it out to them.

But over the three days, which was a lot of time considering we spent almost 6 to 8 hours straight in the studio, it became easier to point them out. It was backed up by the fact that they listened intently to my feedback without being irritated or nervous and acted on it; looking forward to my approval.

Now, I sat on the couch which they had pushed to the front for me, and observed their practice of Upper side Dreamin'. It took me a while to understand how to differentiate between their different dancing styles and a possible slip-up in a step.

"Alright, I think your footwork can be a bit more in sync in the second half of the chorus and...Heeseung?" I looked at him.

He nodded at me to continue. I did not miss the exchange of glances between Jay and Sunghoon but I ignored them.

"Your hand in this step..." I moved my hand for him to understand. "...in the last post chorus is jutting out too much."

He was breathing heavily but still repeated his step. I guided him to fix his posture until he was aligning with the rest. I still didn't speak to Heeseung. I no longer felt sad when I looked at him. It was long gone. Now my sadness had turned into anger. But when we were here in the studio, I made no difference in giving him any feedback.

On the first day, it was quite hard to look at him dance. He was my bias before anything else. And I was still his fan. So to look at him when he danced to my favorite tracks and not feel the urge to smile was tough. And speaking to him was tougher than that.

And to cope with that I decided to use the Separate legal entity concept. At least I could use the underlying principle of it. And I was nothing if I failed to keep my feelings and expressions in check. So while we were here, my sole purpose was to evaluate him. Out of it, he meant nothing to me.

"Take a break now please?" I requested them. When to practice and what to practice was all on them.

"Please. I'm tired." Sunoo fell on the floor.

"Yeah, we can." Jungwon said.

Immediately a few of them collapsed on the floor and a few went out. I sat down on the ground with them with a bright smile. Sunoo flopped into my lap and I started massaging his shoulders.

"Owww right there." He said.

"I've told you so many times not to crack at a bad angle." I scolded him and moved up his neck slowly.

"Oh, she's back." Sunghoon said. The rest gave various acknowledgments.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked him.

"That my love is back in the room. When you evaluate us, it's like you don't even know us." He faked a cry.

"Yeah. You're stricter than our choreographer. But that's a good thing though." Jungwon added.

"Oh. Well, that's just me guarding my engene heart." I winked at him.

They started talking random stuff and I moved to massage Sunoo's head. He was quite literally passed out. And that's because he liked my hand in his hair he had told me earlier. He had made sure to announce it to everyone though.
