Chapter 66

What was he doing here? What did he want? The boys wouldn't allow a male staff to come up here when I was alone. There was nothing a staff could want from the boys' rooms. Meaning, he was here on his own accord. And most probably to speak to me. I was sure he wouldn't do anything. It would get him in trouble if he did. I remembered how insane, everyone had behaved with those two employees. That was a week ago too. Feeling confident, I opened the door.

The guy stood in front of me nervously, eyes darting around. He opened his mouth to say something and then closed it again.

"What?" He flinched at my tone.

"I just...wanted to say sorry." He said.

"What for?" I asked.
He looked appalled that I had asked him for the reason.

"For...for everything. I-it was an accident." He fumbled around with his words.

"Accident you say?" Now this was the worst excuse I'd ever heard.

"I'm sorry please."

"So you're saying you accidentally groped my ass in the elevator?" I asked him. He looked a bit angry.

"And you accidentally, went to the women's bathroom and accidentally, taunted a girl you knew was inside? Calling her out to have some fun?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Please I'm so sorry. I can't lose my job now. If you tell enhypen I'll be kicked out without warning and without a place to go in this foreign country." He begged.

That was true. If he lost his job here, he wouldn't be well versed enough to survive on his own.

"If I wanted to I could've already told them." He perked up. "Leave. Don't show me your face again."

I slammed the door on his face. What made him apologize all of a sudden? I would've ratted him out the moment I recognized him that day. But he looked genuinely scared and angry. So I couldn't do it. I went back to my little workstation and resumed my studying.

"Stop right there all of you! I'm warning you."

I held the water bottle in my hand like a weapon. Sunoo, Jungwon, Niki and Sunghoon were prowling the other side of the counter.

"Baby it's just a small hug. Come on." Jungwon whined.

"Come on Love. Won't you give me a hug either?" Sunghoon joined in.

A few heads turned with 'baby' and 'love' but no one actually seemed to mind it.

"You people are bathing in sweat! Stay far away from me." I snapped. "Freshen up Hoonie. Then I'll gladly give you a hug."

I knew they were taunting me. Because Niki and Jungwon could easily close in on me from both the sides. But they were having too much fun right now. From the corner of my eye I saw Jake come in from the bedroom. He had changed his clothes and was stunned at the sight of those four taunting me. I dashed towards him followed by the four of them. I successfully managed to reach him before I was caught.And he understood the assignment. Jake pushed me inside the bedroom, locking the door behind him.

"Noona that's not fair!"

"I will get you one day, my Lee. I promise."

The voices outside faded away and I sighed in relief.

"Oh thank you so much Jake."  I turned to him.

He was siting on a bed in a manspread. I kept my eyes locked to his. Not letting them drift down. Jake saw my struggle and smiled.
