"But why? If you're worried about the staff members then just ignore them." Jay said.
"Yeah. Don't pay attention to them. Stay by our side." Sunghoon added.
"But please, please come Noona. We could finish the whole routine early in your presence yesterday. Or normally it would've taken more time." Niki requested.
That did make me pause for a while. They could finish early if I went with them? But how? As much as I wanted them to finish things quickly, I needed to go shopping. But I couldn't tell them that. That would warrant a full-on investigation about what I wanted and that they'd get it for me. Moreover, I don't think they'd send me alone.
"I'm sorry, Niki. But an amendment has been passed and I need to go through it. I can't get out of touch with my subjects." I said hoping that he would buy it.
"Okay fine." Jake said.
"What?" Jay looked at Jake.
"What What? It's important to her. It's just a day." Jake said.
"Please, Jay? Please, please, pleaseeeee?" I gave him my best innocent-eyed expression, knowing how much it affected him.
And just as I expected, he blinked and gulped. I should start making a list of everyone's weaknesses. It could come in handy at times like these.
"No, love. You can't stay here alone-"
I turned to Sunghoon and pouted. "Please Hoonie?"
And just like that, he stopped mid-sentence and stared at me. He cleared his throat and looked at Jay.
"Alright. If that's what you want." Jay said finally.
"Yeah fine." Sunghoon said.
Niki started sulking in the corner. I strode over to him and stood on my toes to press a kiss to his cheek.
"I'll be here when you come back. Be a good boy for me, will you?" I asked him.
He reluctantly nodded and left with Jay and Sunghoon. Jake lingered in the doorway. He had a small smile playing on his lips.
"I saw what you did there." He said.
"What did I do?" I asked innocently.
He chuckled. "Take care and study well. I'll call you during breaks."
I waved at him as he closed the door and left. I could count on Jake to persuade the rest three as well. An hour after they left, I inspected my wardrobe for an outfit.
Just like I had asked Jay and Sunghoon, they had picked out some pieces for me. My eyes flitted over each piece of clothing lined up. This felt surreal. You're telling me that all of this that looked straight out of a branded aisle is mine? Who would've even thought?
I picked out white high-waisted flare pants and a purple crop top and quickly changed into them. I made my hair into long curls and rummaged the little clips to pin some of it back. I found a small milky white one. It shined in bright whites, blues, and greens. Moonstone. I pinned it in my hair and admired it in the mirror.
When I opened the cupboard again to take a bag, I had to close it back and sit down on the bed for a while. I had been using my black sling bag for about seven years now. My pink one, a little over three years.
And now there were so many of them at my option that I was finding it hard to select one. I shook my head and picked a white one. It had three gold butterfly embellishments dangling at the end. But for some reason, I put it back in. I looked further and found a white bag pack. It had a huge bow dangling on the front. It would've looked childish had the bow been any bigger. But this looked chic. It was almost the size of my old BTS bag. Meaning, a considerable amount of space.
