Chapter 132

Two more days passed in the same way. The boys did everything in their power to help Leah and keep her optimistic. But at times, they felt quite stressed as well. Her physical condition was improving.

But her mental state remained the same. She rarely talked. Sunghoon could count the exact number of times she had smiled. And he didn't remember the last time they had heard her laugh.

He got through everything only with the hope that she would say yes to moving with them. The topic, which in Leah's absence, was very much up for a heated debate.

"I can't believe you'd suggest that." Jay was fuming.

"Don't twist my words. I'm not talking about breaking up, am I?" Jake said harshly. "It's up to her. As much as I want her to come along, she's her own person and deserves a say in her own life."

"Go on. But know that I am not leaving without taking her with me." Jay said.

"How are you planning on doing that? Kidnap her? Be for real." Jake scoffed.

"If you want to put it that way, fine."

"What? You really will kidnap her?" Jake shook his head in disbelief. "Tell me you're joking."

"I'm not." Jay said tersely.

"And how will you do that huh? Give her chloroform or something? Pack her in your suitcase? Add on to her already existing trauma by acting just like those attackers?" Jake seethed.

Jay took a menacing step forward. "Watch it, Jake."

Jake raised an eyebrow. "Did it feel bad because I compared you to them? Then stop acting like a total dick."

"I'm not, okay? All I want is for Leah to fucking come with us. And I will do anything to make sure that happens." Jay said darkly.

When Jake strode forward, he made no sign of stopping. His fist was clenched and his eyes poured pure malice. Jay's body tensed as well. Sunghoon immediately put himself between the two and caught Jake before he could do anything.

"Jake, stop." He said angrily.

"Listen to me you fucker." Jake's voice was low as he addressed Jay over Sunghoon's shoulder. "You do anything against her will, and I'll forget that you're my friend. If you really love her then you're going to respect her. Understand?"

"You're going to stop me?" Jay chuckled darkly.

"Both of you stop it right now!" Sunghoon pushed Jake away from Jay but the former didn't budge.

"Oh, I am. Try me." Jake said menacingly. "Just because I'm laid back doesn't mean I'll let anything pass. I am not scared of you."

"You should be, Jaeyunnie." Jay sneered at him.

"Stop you two. What's wrong with you? Get a grip!"

Sunghoon tried his best to keep the two apart. But he was slowly losing his own footing between them. If they went for a brawl, there's no way he could stop them all by himself.

"What will you do? Destroy my face as well? Boast about it to her? Tell her that you'll be her sweet villain?" Jake's grin was cold and completely out of place. "Do it. And watch her fear rise as she calls for me. Not you."

"What the fuck is happening here?!"

Heeseung stormed inside the room. He pulled Jay away by his collar. Sunghoon breathed a sigh of relief.

"Have you two gone mad?" Heeseung hissed. "Sunghoon take Jake away. And you..."

Heeseung turned towards Jay. But Sunghoon didn't wait to hear his words. He dragged Jake along with him to the other room.
