Chapter 19

When I stepped out of the restroom, 7 pairs of eyes turned towards me. They were all waiting for me near the end of the corridor. I hurried down the corridor towards them, keeping a normal face.

"Yep. Should we leave now?" I asked.

"Yes. We'll have our lunch near other mueseum. We should leave soon." Heeseung said and turned for the exit.
No one said anything while walking, and I trained my eyes on the floor. I knew Sunghoon for looking at me from behind. I did not know what to say to him. I did not yet know him properly, and what he did earlier was an extremely intimate gesture. We got to the car, and I ended up with Jay and Heeseung. The day just kept getting better and better. There were only a few inches between me and Heesueng, and my legs started bobbing up and down in nervousness. For the first time, he wasn't staring or smirking at me, and I was grateful for that. I did not want to think of the reason why Jungwon gritted his teeth and Sunoo did not look like a sunshine anymore. The car took off for its long journey of 1 and half hours to Birla Group. I contemplated what to do because the silence was too unbearable.

"Leah, what other groups do you stan?" Jay asked me. I wasn't the only one uncomfortable. His question got the attention of others, and I saw the sunshine return.

"I know we are your favorite, but still, who else?" Sunoo asked, flipping his non-existent long hair. I wanted to tease that my favorite was TXT and not enhypen, but I wasn't sure they would take it lightly after what happened, judging from Jake's face.

"Oh well, I listen to a lot of groups some more than others. But I'm not sure if I actually Stan them." I answered honestly.

Jay considered my reply for a moment. "You don’t stan them, as in?"

"As in, I only listen to their songs and sometimes see their performances and MVs. I don't really follow their schedule, weverse live or anything." I replied.

Jay looked really intrigued. "So you don't see our live? Variety shows?"

"Umm, not that much. I've seen only a few episodes of En O Clock and random interviews."

"Ooh, ok." Jay nodded.

"Really? That's it?" Jungwon asked me. I turned back to answer him.

"Yeah. Pretty much so." I said, and then he raised his eyebrow at me, making me blink. And then I remembered. Wattpad. And that realization dawned on my face. He wiggled his eyebrows as a tease.

"Yes. Jungwon. Nothing else." I answered, trying to keep my smile. Whatever unsaid matter passed between us did not go unnoticed. But no one questioned.

"Yeah, so I listen to so many groups. Girl groups more than boys. Ateez, Exo, Nct, Shinee, Nu'est, stray kids, seventeen, blackpink, twice, itzy, aespa, new jeans, le seraphim, kiss of life, Ive..." I listed as many as I remembered. "BTS was my favorite till a few months ago. Now it's TXT." It completely slipped from my mouth.

"Favorite...?" Sunoo squinted his eyes at me.

"I mean, I like them a lot. Their songs are really good." I said.

"Which one do you like better? TXT or Enhypen?" There it was. The dreaded question. Asked by none other than the weightlifting fairy. But now that the mood was positive, I decided I could play around with my answer.

"I mean, Enhypen and TXT have very different vibes, so it's hard to choose. Their coming of age and supernatural concept suits them, and your vampire concept suits you. Even the music is quite different." I said, thinking.

I saw Sunoo and Jungwon pout, and I quickly added.

"And...I absolutely love vampires."

Sunoo became quite serious, and for a second, I thought I made a mistake. He leaned over my seat, staring deeply into my eyes.
