I watched as Virion ran into the portal first, leaving us behind, then Cecilia, then Kordri,m but before Arthur did, he looked at me. "Be careful." I nodded my head, feeling upset for some reason, and the both of us ran into our portals.

The light flashed in my eyes, and as I appeared on the other side, I wasn't falling through the sky like planned, I was on a shoreline, by myself, no one insight, the only noise was the waves crashing. "Arthur!" I shouted in confusion, not knowing where everyone was. The asuran army was supposed to be below us, but obviously, they are not. 'Arthur?'

I sent a message through our mental link, but nothing, there was no response, for some reason, my portal didn't take me where I was supposed to. I started to look around, maybe Virion knew, maybe he has eyes on me here and will bring me back to them. He had those blood crows everywhere, there has to be one around here.

As I started to look around a little more, another portal opened up about fifty feet from me, and as I turned toward it, someone stepped through it, catching me off guard. "Alone at last." Selena, who was wearing blue tights and light armor smiled at me.

"Selena?" I said questioningly as I stepped her way, hearing the waves crashing to my side. "What's going on? Why am I here?" I asked, but as I did, a blade of water shot at me, forcing me to quickly sidestep it and allow it to pass me. "What the fuck?!"

"Dammit." Selena said with a smirk on her face, water growing from her arms, forming arms that seemed to extend to the ground. "I knew it wouldn't be that easy, but I was really hoping that would have killed you."

"What do you think you are doing?" I asked, shaking my head, preparing to use mana in case she tried something like that again.

"What?" She asked, confused. "Isn't it obvious?" I didn't respond, not knowing what to say to be honest. "I'm shrinking the playing field for Virion's heart, something I should have done a while ago."

"You can't be serious." I said, giving her a concerned look. "I told Virion if he wanted to be with you it's fine."

"But you told him you wouldn't date him if he was with me still." Selena said, rolling her eyes, a sarcastic and annoyed expression on her face. "I saw it while I was in his mind." I gave her a confused expression, not knowing what that all meant. "I was always fine with being the second wife, but you kicking me out, pushing me away from the person I love, it is unacceptable."

"If you love him, you would let him make his own decisions." I told her, my expression going dark, realizing there was no way out of this. "He chose you anyways, at least from what I heard from a Wraith." I overheard one of them talking about how Virion was with her the night we had an argument.

"He did, and he didn't." She told me, smiling as she did. "He chose you, he was going to break up with me, end things, but I had other plans."

"What other plans?"

"Well, there's something I've been keeping from everybody, something that I don't even think about so Virion can't discover it." She said with a grin on her face. "My true ability isn't water manipulation, it's mind manipulation, a rare Leviathan ability, luckily, I'm the daughter of a Queen who had the same ability."

"You, you've been mind controlling Veer?" I asked, caught off guard, but everything adds up, but how could she simply mind control him, Virion is on a whole other level compared to this Leviathan.

"I've been trying to." She said, her tone suggesting that she's been having trouble doing just that. "My dear husband is one of the the strongest mages alive, so mind controlling him isn't easy, I had to, how do I say it, seduce him, and well, exit his mind through another entrance."
