The Last of the Lances

I watched as Aya and Mica shot at Alea, my heart hurting from the sight of the Lance, it really did hurt me to see her like this, an enemy, an enemy trying to kill us. It didn't matter, we had a job, and we weren't going to let them kill us, or the Leywins.

I didn't know exactly what was going on, but even in my weakened state, I think I can take on Varay, maybe, I don't know, it'll be tough. "You ready?" Ellie asked from the side, seeming to be pretty confident herself. "We have to take her down."

"Yeah." I said, and at that comment, Varay was the one who acted first, ice blades shot up at us, and we were forced into avoiding them, I dodged each one, sending my spear through a couple. I couldn't see what Ellie was doing, but as I passed the last sword, Ellie appeared, and she was conjuring crystals, mana crystals towards Varay and her newly formed ice dragon that was huge.

A crystal shot up towards the dragon, shattering the ice creature, then one shot at Varay, but she vanished away, appearing by Ellie, however, out of the blue, a paw came in and swatted Varay to the side, knocking her all the way over to me, it was Ellie's bond, Boo.

I could see Ellie smiling as she pushed the crystals at Varay and I, aiming them at her though. My spear shot at the Lance, but she parried the blow, vanished, went to grab my wrist as she appeared by my side, but a crystal shot up and blocked her from doing that.

I vanished as well, pushing lightning at her, then turning into it and traveling alongside the current. My spear slid forward into her stomach, stopping her mana flow for a second, breaking through the ice she had there as a barrier.

A crystal shot up, hitting her in the lower thigh as I was in the way of her stomach, and that right there truly impressed me. Ellie has grown a lot, she has amazing control over her abilities, just like a Lance should.

I pulled my spear free and as Varay started to fall backwards, blood pouring to the ground, I swung my spear at her throat. She raised her sword and deflected my blade away, dodged a crystal, then vanished as Boo came in and slammed his fist down.

The force shook the ground below us, creating a small divot, but Varay was gone and on Ellie who was by herself. I vanished and appeared in between them as Ellie was dodging attack after attack, putting some distance between her and Varay.

I swung my spear up again, just trying to hit her to disable her magic for a second to give Ellie a chance to kill her, but she parried the blow, stabbed me with her blade right under my armor, then pushed me away and vanished as Boo came in, trying to dig his claws into her.

Varay conjured an ice dragon near Boo, but it was destroyed within a second by Ellie as a crystal shot up and smashed it to pieces. Varay conjured another sword, using two now, and deflected my attack as I shot into her, then slashed Boo's stomach, cutting it severely as he came in, forcing him to back up.

"Boo!" Ellie shouted, worried about her bond.

I deflected another attack, shot lightning into her, but she conjured an ice shield, then ice swords all around her as the icy storm raged on. Ellie went to her bond as I fought Varay, pushing her back, trying to get her away from them for a split second.

I pushed energy all throughout my body, then sent my foot into her chest, cracking the ice slightly, then dodged her sword as she thrusted it forward. I parried another strike, then out of nowhere I was hit by a shard, but it wasn't an ice shard.

I was sent flying away from Varay and ended up rolling on the ground from the impact of their blow. As I was rolling, I could see Ellie shooting back into the fight with Boo, he was in front, and she was conjuring spike sat Varay, pushing her back once again.
