Arthur Leywin
"Wake up." I heard a voice say as my consciousness came back to me. "Arthur!" They said my name this time, and as my eyes opened, I could see a black ceiling. "Finally." I turned my head and made eye contact with, with myself.
"What the hell?" I said, quickly getting to my feet, noticing the room I was in. I would have thought Virion would have put me in a dungeon, guess I got a little upgrade. "Who? Virion?" As I said that last part, Regis jumped out of the body before me. "Regis?"
"Calm down." He said, and as he did, the clone of me, or disguise, no, clone, dissolved into a pile of blood. "We have bigger issues to worry about right now? Don't mind the clone, just get ready." I gave him a confused look. "I've been in that clone of you for like a week now, that's how long you've been gone, but the things I've seen, I would just prepare for a battle."
"W-what?" I said, still adjusting to the room as I stood there, running a hand through my hair trying to get over this headache. "What battle?" I listened to my bond, pushing the thought of the clone away.
"Your brother is fighting Kezess as we speak, alone, one on one." Regis said, shaking his wolf like head at me. "And from the clone's visions, it isn't going well for him." I didn't react, I didn't care, or I did and was afraid to show it.
'Arthur, I'm coming.' I heard the voice of my other bond within my head, and as she spoke, my eyes widened as the door opened up, revealing her behind Regis. "The clones, all of them, they are gone, the Wraiths stopped watching me, everyone, it's like they vanished. I came down here right away to see you, to help you."
"It was Virion's doing." Regis told her. "He knows, well, he let you go, everyone is still here, they just don't care. He also probably knew you would come down here and wanted you to." I still had no clue what was going on. "All I know, is that you, Arthur, no, us, are about to go and fight your grandfather."
"Right now?" I said, and he nodded his head as Sylvie came up and hugged me, damn, I am just noticing now how much she has grown. "How? How are we even going to get there? Also, I don't really want to fight with my brother."
"I tried talking him out of it, told him it was suicide, but he didn't listen." Sylvie said as she backed up, I could tell something was off with her, a sadness to her voice. "He tried to push me away, I knew what he was saying was lies, but it still hurt."
"I don't know everything that's going on, Arthur, but it isn't just Kezess in Dicathen." Regis said, prancing over to me. "The dragons attacked the whole continent, and as we speak, a battle is raging on in Etril."
"Wha---" I was cut off as a portal opened up to our side, turning all out attention to it.
"This is probably our ride." Regis said, knowing a lot more than I do right now. "I do know that Virion just decimated the cities of Dicathen himself, following through with the plan he told you, killing pretty much every single dragon there was."
I knew of his plan, but if it really worked, that, that is even, that both makes me happy and annoyed. "We need to go help him!" Sylvie exclaimed. "I know he's a dick, but Arthur, he is your brother, maybe this is his cry for help."
I gave her a long look, seeing the plea for help in her eyes, telling me that I had to do this, I had to help my Devi brother. "Fine." I said, nodding my head to myself as Regis drifted into my body. "I don't have fate mastered, that was the key to defeating Kezess and Agrona, but maybe I don't need it."
"Come on." Sylvie said, and the two of us stepped towards the portal, and as we entered it, the lights flashed my eyes, and the sight before me froze my body, widened my eyes, and confusion and anger grew in me. "No!"
