Arthur Leywin

The beam continued and slammed into Cadell, going right through his chest and destroyed his core, at least I thought she did, I blinked and he became a shadow, teleporting behind her in the sky, and a long black sword appeared and he slammed it into her.

Sylvie in her dragon form fell from the sky, and as she did, she transformed into her human form. I god stepped into the air and caught her, breathing heavily as the wound on my chest was fully healed, but it was still aching even with aether working in my favor there.

"You good?" I asked Sylvie as I landed on the ground, placing her down as she held a large cut across her chest, the scales broken.

"Yeah." She answered, and I wanted to ask her where she was, but we didn't have time for that, because as we spoke, Cadell was now standing ten yards away, staring at the both of us.

"Finally." He said, and I noticed the wounds from destruction were healed, soulfire and aether brought forth, it was like he was holding back as I was going all out, or close to going all out. "I was forced into using my new ability."

It was that shadow spell, he became one, then teleported behind Sylvie, if I had to guess, he had Damon's ability, he called it shadow step, but if that's true, this fight just got a little more serious.

"But besides that, it's good to see you again, young pup." Cadell said, looking at Sylvie as she healed herself. "You look nothing like your mother." I felt the anger grow within me as destruction grew more and more.

"I thought you were dead." Sylvie said in confusion. "How are you here?"

"I already explained it to the boy wonder, I don't feel like explaining it again." Cadell told her, and the flames of destruction started to fall off my blade and onto the ground, burning it to ashes. "See, right there, you don't have the mind to control those flames anymore, that's why you need to die, all you anomalies."

I felt myself relax a little, that was not Cadell speaking, just like before, he said something he would never say to me, to anyone really. "What?" I exclaimed weirdly. "Never mind, actually, I don't care." I looked at Sylvie and spoke to her. "Fight in your dragon form, he's way strong than he was before, the strongest Lesser no in a asuran body, it's showing."

"Alright." Sylvie transformed into her dragon form and stood behind me, listening to my words. "I have your back, Arthur." I nodded to myself, and as I did, I felt the flames latch onto my hands as I've been using it for too long and my anger has grown even with it cooling a little.

"Come on." Cadell spun both swords in his hands now, a calmness to him, yet, there was a weird expression to him, a cocky one. "You know, I could call for backup, but I asked to do this myself." I laughed a little. "Oh, you think I am joking, good, but it doesn't matter, I'll end you before you can see who else is back from the dead."

"Fine." I god stepped into him, Sylvie came flying in behind me. My blade flashed upwards, he vanished into a shadow, appearing behind Sylvie, but I god stepped to him and blocked the strike before it reached her.

Sylvie, sensing it, spun her tail and whipped it into his stomach, sending him flying across the field. He rolled on it, and I god stepped into him, bringing my blade into his stomach, the destruction latched onto him, but didn't stay as he shadow stepped, or at least what I would call it.

Sylvie shot a beam of mana into his stomach as he reappeared, predicting where he was going to be. I god stepped as he deflected the energy, I swung my blade and he parried it, then sent his second blade into my side.

I felt it enter, but I god stepped off it, Sylvie tackled him, digging her claws into his sides, but as he threw her off of him, I appeared as he got to his feet. Our blades met once again, knocking each other back.
