Cecilia
It was going to be his last words, so I couldn't stop him, I had no right to take those away from him. "Cecillia, thank you." He said, and I tilted my head as I pushed mana and aether into his body, I didn't know if my aether manipulation was at this point yet, but I had to try. "Thank you for saving them."
"Bairon." Eleanor said, sitting beside Aya. "Don't talk, slow your breathing, you need to relax." She said, tears filling her eyes, knowing he saved them, but at the price of his life, which would hurt anyone.
"Don't cry, Eleanor." He told her. "I owe your family this, and I wasn't going to let either of you die." I continued healing him, but the more I did it, the more I knew it wasn't going to be enough to keep him breathing. "I've lived a long life, and if this all ends with peace, I'll consider it all to be a successful life."
"Don't say that." Aya said. "You can't die, I'll be the only one left, don't leave us, Bairon." After thinking about it, if this is where the Lances are, shouldn't Mica be here?
"Aya, it's fine, you'll be fine." Bairon said, and as he finished, he coughed up blood and spit it onto the ground to the side of his head. "Varay, Alea, Mica, and I will be waiting for you, but don't rush, go and live your life after this war."
Aya shook her head, and I could see she wanted to speak, but she couldn't, tears fell from her eyes, not big ones, but enough to silence herself. "Keep fighting." Eleanor said, but that's when a sudden aura hit us, but it wasn't aura, at least I didn't think so, I didn't feel anybody.
We all froze, then in a blink of an eye, just like how we got here, the ground and atmosphere around us changed, and we ended up in some sort of desert, maybe not a desert, but it was hot.
I used mana to reduce the temperature, and as I healed Bairon, I looked around and took in the scenery. We were on top of red stones, and from what I could see, around us, there were certain locations where dark red flames blazed out of the ground, and off in the distance you could see a couple of mountains.
Nico was in shock as well and said out loud. "What the hell just happened?" I continued to push mana into Bairon and Aya as I stood, thinking about it all, I had no clue where we were, but it couldn't be good.
'Cecil.' I heard Hades connect with me. 'Virion's gone, I can't even communicate with him, he's the one who brought you all here.' I got all my answers in one sentence, wondering what was going on, this was Virion's doing. 'You need to be careful, stay where you are, get to high ground.'
'Why?'
'Because I think I know why there were so many skeletons in this zone when we were here in the past.' As Hades spoke, the ground started to shake and dust off in the distance started to build up more and more. 'They are all the people he killed.'
'What are you talking about?' I asked, taking a look at Bairon, then at Nico who was shaking his head. 'What do you mean skeletons?' The dust build up was getting closer, and I think Eleanor noticed it as well.
"Do you see that?" She asked me, and I nodded my head as she stepped up beside me. "The dust is getting closer and closer." I felt outwards, trying to sense what was coming, but there was nothing, however, I did feel Arthur, Sylvie, and some others.
"I can see that." I said, waiting for a response from Hades.
'The skeletons, they're, they are like mana beast within this zone.' Hades said, then went on. 'It is like a wave of the dead, dangerous in numbers, but simple beings, easy to kill. I didn't understand it at the time, but they are Virion's victims, coming back from the dead to do his bidding once again.'
