Rosa Leywin
I stepped into the portal and appeared on the other side, on the floor was Raven. My father's clones were around her, healing her, getting Raven back to normal. She was just fighting Agrona, so she deserved the break.
I had one job coming back here, and it was to dispose of the dragons coming through the tunnels in the Central Dominion. I was going to go down there before they came up, making sure they didn't destroy the cities or anything.
"Rosa." Cassandra said my name, she was in my father's meeting room with Melody, Alice, Reynolds, and Tessia Leywin. The three of them seem to be looking out for Raven, or waiting for updates, I don't know. "What's going on?"
"Change of plans." I told her, moving past Raven, towards the couches where everyone was sitting. "There are currently dragons coming here to kill everyone and obtain something, so father sent me to handle them before anything bad happens."
"Are they coming here?" Alice Leywin asked, looking at me with a worried expression now.
"No, it's fine, please, relax." I told her, assuring her that nothing was going to happen. I didn't need my grandmother dying due to a heart attack we can't stop. "I'm going to go and kill them when they enter Alacrya."
"Oh." Alice said, nodding her head to herself. "That's good, will you be able to handle it alone?"
"Of course." I said with a smile on my face as I looked at her. "It should only bee ten of them." It was going to be any second now, they were going to appear within the tunnels, running along it, or flying, trying to reach the surface. "And there's no one here that could really help me in a fight."
"I could." A voice cried out from behind me, it was Ellie. "I could go along and help you, I've killed asuras before, so I can do it again if you needed it." I wanted to laugh, but I knew if I did, I would hurt her feelings.
"No." Alice said before I could say anything. "That's too dangerous, even for you, if Rosa says she'll be fine, then she'll be fine, I trust her to be able to handle something like this." I felt a smile form on my face from her words, not knowing if they were true or not, or maybe she simply was lying to Ellie to make up an excuse.
"Mom, I could ----"
"No, Ellie, I'll be able to handle this alone." I told her, shaking my head. "I'm just going to use gravity magic to enclose the tunnel, so they are trapped inside." I was going to use aether as well to disrupt any spell, they were dead, it was just a matter of time before it happened. "How about, if I do need help, a portal will be opened up for you to step through, that way I have some sort of backup."
She was now standing near us as I prepared myself to leave. "Fine." Ellie responded, she wasn't fine, but she was going to accept it. "If you need me, open a portal up." I nodded, and as she rolled her eyes, she took a seat beside her mother and father. "It's not like I killed a bunch of hamadryads and dragons in the last battle."
"Haha." I laughed. "I understand your frustration, but as my father's sister, I can say for certain that he doesn't want you to risk your life when you don't have to." I paused, swinging my hair back slightly with one hand, then went on. "Maybe if the situation was dire and we needed your help, but right now, it's not, and may never be again."
"Ha, I understand." She responded, and as she did, her father wrapped an arm around her.
"This war, it's almost over." Melody said, looking around the room. "And when it ends, we will finally be free of blood and death." That was true, but I was going to miss it a little.
