(One Year Later)

Virion Leywin

"I need to go and see Arthur." Sylvie told me. "He said he needs someone to watch Aldon and Olivia while they travel to Sapin." I nodded my head, playing with my fingertips as I looked away from her.

He didn't live there, he was in Eleanor, but traveling nowadays wasn't that hard with the new tech. I know she wants me to come with her, but I would rather stay here, I have things to do, and if I don't do them now, it won't get done for tonight.

"Are you going to come with me?" She asked, stepped over to me as I sat there on the couch, putting her hand on my chest from behind. "I could use some company while I watch them, they are a handful."

"I have to cut firewood and I haven't prepared the meals for my mother." I told her, smiling as I looked up at her. "For as much as I want to see those little Devils, I rather stay here and finish up, I'll be fine."

She took a long look at me. "Are you sure?" She asked, and I nodded. "Alright." She bent down and kissed me, pressing her lips against mine for a long, long second. "You know, we could try again tonight if you are up for it?"

"Haha, that might be hard with my mother and father staying the night, but we can try." I told her as she kissed me again. "Go, I'll get everything set up while you are gone." She gave me a long look once again, smiling as she did. "I love you, Sylv."

"Okay, and I love you too, just be careful with the ax." She told me as I sat up, following her out the door. "I don't want you to cut yourself while I am gone."

"Sylvie, if I did that, I would use mana, I know I haven't for over a year, but if anything like that happens, don't forget what I am, or was." I told her, assuring her that everything would be fine while she was gone.

"I know, I'm just saying, be careful, my love." She kissed me again, and as she parted from me on the porch, I watched as she placed a teleportation pad on the ground and activated it. "Make sure to get Hades to bring in some meat for dinner."

"I will." I told her. "Let them know I say hello." She nodded and entered the portal, vanishing from my sight as it closed. I stood there for a second on our porch, looking at where she was just at, then out over the ocean.

It's been over a year and she still doesn't like leaving me alone, knowing what I could do, and have done in the past. I love her even more for that, and that love has developed to a point where we are now trying to have a child, a real child, not one I've grown.

I saw Nithe the other day, he was happy, he's actually dating Caera, something, and when I say this, I mean it, something I didn't expect to happen, yet am happy to hear. I know she's a good person, and I know he'll treat her well, and the fact he gets to experience all that now makes me happy.

'I need you to bring back a mana beast for dinner.' I told Hades through our mental link as I stepped down the stairs, making my way over to the shed which has wood laying out for me to cut in half with the ax sitting there.

'Already on it, boss.' He told me, and I sent him a mental head nod. 'Don't cut yourself baby boy.'

I simply laughed to myself as I arrived at the shed, picking up the ax, looking at it with a sense of familiarity, remembering all battles I was in, all the people I've killed which was a large number. I didn't miss it as much as I did before, which was good, I was happy here.

I was happy with Sylvie in my life, and I couldn't imagine another life without her, everything I did was for this, and that's most likely why I am so happy right now. I was thinking of killing, all that was on my mind was what I could do for the people I love, and for myself.
