Aya Grephin

I charged towards a pantheon, but as I brought my sword up, I blinked and I vanished, appearing within a field. I started to look around, and as I did, Lance Bairon and Mica appeared with me, standing about ten yards from one another and me.

"Bairon? Aya?" Lance Mica said questioningly, walking over as we joined one another, trying to figure out what was going on. "Are you two, okay?" I looked over my body, the wounds were not severe, not like Bairon's.

"Virion was healing me, but I don't feel it anymore within me." Bairon said, looking over his body as we stood with one another now. "I'm good though, I could have kept going, Virion teleported us out, right?"

"I don't think so." I said, shaking my head as I looked at him. "He would have continued to heal us, this, this is something else." If Virion teleported us out, he would have brought us to Taegrin Caelum where he could heal us up.

"I agree." Mica said, agreeing with me. "I was guarding the King and Queen of Sapin as well, there was no reason to teleport me away." Unlike Bairon and me, she wasn't in integration phase like us.

"Then what has happened?" Bairon looked around as he slammed his spear into the ground, and released it, letting it go. "I was in a middle of a fight with a hamadryad." He wiped some blood off his face, then ran a hand through his hair.

"How was it going?" Mica asked us, but as she did, a powerful aura shot out from behind us, snapping our heads towards it, and as we did, shock and confusion ran into my mind, maybe all of our minds.

The three of us went silent as we just stared at the figure standing there, her body fully crystalized with ice, but that wasn't what caught my eye right away. She was staring at us with golden eyes, and distaste.

"Varay?" Bairon said, stepping forward without his spear in his hand. "W-w-what is ---" He we in shock like the rest of us, but there was something wrong, and as I was thinking this, an ice blade shot up at Bairon's throat.

Unfortunately for Varay, I had conjured a wind blade and sliced the ice blade before it reached Bairon. The silence grew even more as I stared at Bairon, then back to Varay who was standing there calmly.

"Eyes up, that's not our Varay." I said softly to them, then spoke up to Varay. "Varay, what happened to you? Are you even Varay?" I asked the questions that needed to be asked, my blade still in hand in case something happened.

"The time for Lances is over." She said, holding her hand out. "I've been shown the future, and if we continue down this course, the world will shatter." I didn't respond, none of us did, not knowing what she was talking about. "We must kill the Leywins, so I've come to you, join us, and you shall be gifted strength."

"Join who?" I asked, Bairon grabbed his spear, understanding the situation now. "What are you talking about?"

"Aether, fate." Varay responded, speaking calmly, like Varay would. "It's shown me the truth, and if we let the Leywins live, we will be killing this world. It has gifted me this body, a body filled with dragon blood, they can grant you this power as well."

She was a full blooded asura? A dragon as well, if this is our Varay, and she has this power, she will be on a whole other level. I don't even know if we can take her in this state, but if she is telling the truth, aether or fate, the thing Arthur has been studying, if it is helping her, and wants the Leywins dead, this could be bad for us.

"We aren't going to let you hurt them." Bairon told her, stepping up to my side, holding his spear out to his side. "And I know our Varay wouldn't want that as well, so whoever you are, you shouldn't be in that body."
