"Hermione, is the Room of Requirement unplottable?"
The four were walking down the corridor, Hermione and Ron were dropping Harry and Mia off at the Astronomy Tower.
"If one wants it to be," Hermione said as Mia looked at her. "Why?"
"It would explain why I thought Malfoy was leaving the castle when he disappeared off the Map," Harry said as Mia looked at him. "He was going to the Room ofRequirement."
"Of course, and that explains the Vanishing Cabinet as well!" Hermione added.
"No," Ron said, "I got an owl from Dad this morning. The one at Borgin &Burke's? It's still there."
"But I'm telling you," Harry said as Mia furrowed her eyebrows. "I saw it."
"What if there are two?" Mia asked as she looked at Harry. "Two vanishing cabinets."
"What if there are?" Ron asked.
"I don't know," Harry said as Mia looked at him.
"Good luck, mate," Ron said, looking at the twins as they approached the astronomy tower stairs. They turned to their best friends and smiled. Ron and Hermione were drowning in anxiety as Mia smiled.
"We don't need luck," Mia said, "we'll be with Dumbledore."
She hugged Ron tightly before hugging Hermione.
"Stay safe," Hermione said, just loud enough for Mia to hear.
"I'm always safe," she joked as she let go of her best friend who had tears in her brown eyes. "See you in a minute," she said, winking before looking at Harry and walking up the spiralling exterior stairs. As they got near the top, they heard voices, and peeringup through the grid-like floor above, they saw Dumbledore andSnape.
"Have you ever considered that you ask too much?" Snape was asking, "that you take too much for granted? Has it ever crossed your brilliant mind that I don't want to do this anymore?"
"Whether it has or hasn't isirrelevant," Dumbledore responded, "I will not negotiate this with you, Severus. You agreed. There's nothing more to discuss."
The twins glanced at each other before they heard footsteps walking down the stairs. Snape looked at the twins, briefly faltered then carried on walking without another word. Mia furrowed her eyebrows before she and Harry kept on walking until they approached Dumbledore.
"Mia, Harry," he said, greeting the twins, "you need a shave, dear boy." Mia laughed as Harry ran his hand over his face. "At times I forget how much you've both grown. At times I still see the small twins from the cupboard." He sent the twins a warm smile. "Forgive my mawkishness, twins. I am an old man."
"You look the same to me, sir," Mia said as Dumbledore said.
"Like your mother, you areunfailingly kind," he said as the ginger girl smiled. "A trait people never fail to undervalue. I'm afraid."
