"Good luck, everyone," shouted Moody as Mia was sitting next to Harry, "See you all in about an hour at the Burrow. On the count of three. One. . . . two. . . . THREE."

There was a great roar from the motorbike, and Mia felt the sidecar give a nasty lurch. She was rising through the air fast, her eyes watering slightly, and her hair whipped back off his face. Around her, brooms were soaring upward too, the long black tail of a threstral flicked past. Her legs, jammed into the sidecar by Prongs' empty cage and her rucksack, were already sore and starting to go numb.

So great was her discomfort that she almost forgot to take a last glimpse of number four, Privet Drive, by the time she looked over the edge of the sidecar, she could no longer tell which one it was. Higher and higher, they climbed into the sky, and then, out of nowhere, out of nothing, they were surrounded.

At least thirty hooded figures, suspended in midair, formed a vast circle in the midst of which the Order members had risen, oblivious. Screams, a blaze of green light on every side: Hagrid gave a yell, and the motorbike rolled over. Mia lost any sense of where they were. Streetlights above him yelled around her; he was clinging to the sidecar for dear life. Prong cage, the Firebolt, and her rucksack slipped from beneath her knees.

Mia's eyes went wide as she looked to her left and saw a Death Eater heading straight for her. Before she could even react, the large, brown owl Mia loved more than anything came swopping in, scratching the face of the Death Eater, causing him to lose sight of Mia. Mia had a wide grin on her face as she looked at Prongs, but before she could even react, there was another burst of green light. The owl screeched and fell to the Earth, limp as Mia watched in horror.

"NO!" she screamed, turning around, "NO!" She looked up and saw the Death Eater flying backwards, and Mia's eyes glowed red with anger. Her blood was boiling; her heat was racing as she began to glow red.

"MIA!" Harry yelled, seeing the look on his sister's face, but she didn't hear him. She turned around and looked at her brother one last time before she smiled and then jumped out of the car. "MIA!"

Mia felt herself falling, the wind pushing her long hair back as two energy balls appeared at her hands, levitating her in the air.

"THERE SHE IS!"

"THERE'S THE REAL EUPHEMIA!"

Mia looked up and saw Death Eaters flying towards her, shooting spells as she felt her blood boil. She let out a scream, and a blast of red energy exploded out of her tiny body, illuminating the sky as the Death Eaters, who were in range of her, turned to dust. She had a murderous look on her face as two red energy balls appeared at her hands as she began fighting for her life as Death Eaters surrounded.

Harry's feet slammed onto hard ground and he fell onto his hands and knees in the yard of the Burrow. He heard screams. Looking up, Harry stood up, swaying slightly, and saw Mrs. Weasley, Ginny running down the steps by the back door as Hagrid, who had also collapsed on landing, clambered laboriously to his feet.
