The practice room at IST Entertainment was usually a sanctuary for The Boyz, a place where they fine-tuned their craft, bonded, and found joy even in their grueling schedules. But tonight, the atmosphere was different. The room, usually alive with Eric's bright laughter and playful teasing, felt muted. With their youngest member on hiatus, the group was missing its heartbeat.

Still, they pressed on. Their comeback for Whisper was just around the corner, and there was no room for error. For Sunwoo, the pressure felt insurmountable. Eric's absence left a gap in their performances, and much of that burden had been placed squarely on his shoulders. Extra rap lines, adjusted choreography, and an unspoken expectation to carry the energy that Eric usually brought—it was all wearing him thin.

Sunwoo had always been the type to rise to a challenge, his pride pushing him to excel. But tonight, his body ached with exhaustion, and his mind was clouded with doubt. He was trying—desperately—but no matter how hard he pushed himself, it never felt like enough.

"Let's take it from the top!" Sangyeon called out, clapping his hands to rally the group.

The familiar beat of Whisper blared through the speakers, and the group launched into the routine once again. Their synchronization was near-perfect, but Sunwoo struggled to keep up. His movements were off, his timing lagging behind the others.

"Sunwoo!" Changmin's sharp voice cut through the music as he yanked out his earpiece. The group stopped mid-dance, their breathing heavy, and turned to look at Sunwoo.

"What's going on?" Changmin asked, his irritation clear. "That's the third time you've messed up the same part."

Sunwoo stiffened, a mix of guilt and frustration bubbling under the surface. "I'm sorry, hyung. I'll get it right this time."

"It's not just about getting it right next time," Changmin shot back, his tone biting. "You're dragging the whole group down."

"Changmin, ease up," New interjected, sensing the tension. "We can just run it again."

"No," Changmin insisted, ignoring New's attempt to diffuse the situation. "If Sunwoo's not up to it today, he should just say so instead of wasting everyone's time."

Sunwoo's fists clenched tightly at his sides. He felt the heat of embarrassment crawling up his neck. "I said I'll fix it, okay?"

"It's not okay!" Changmin snapped. "If you keep screwing up, maybe you should sit this one out!"

The words hit Sunwoo like a punch to the gut. He could feel the eyes of the other members on him, their concern mingling with confusion. "Maybe I should?" Sunwoo shot back, his voice rising. "Or maybe you should stop breathing down my neck for once!"

The room went silent for a moment, the tension thick and suffocating. But Changmin wasn't backing down.

"You're acting like a child, Sunwoo," Changmin said, his tone cold. "We're all stressed, but you don't see us throwing tantrums."

"A tantrum?!" Sunwoo's voice cracked as his composure began to crumble. "You think this is a tantrum? You have no idea what I'm dealing with!"

"Then say something!" Changmin countered. "Stop acting like a martyr!"

"I don't need to explain myself to you!" Sunwoo shouted back.

Their voices rose, the argument spiraling out of control. The other members tried to intervene, but neither of them was listening.

"JUST SHUT UP!" Sunwoo suddenly screamed, his voice breaking.

The room fell silent. Everyone froze, their eyes on Sunwoo as he stood trembling, his shoulders heaving with the effort to hold back his tears. The silence stretched, heavy and unbearable.
