Juyeon stretched his arms over his head, letting out a soft groan. It had been a grueling day of practice, the kind that left his muscles aching and his energy drained. Yet, as always, the thought of returning to the dorm and relaxing with his members brought a small smile to his face. Despite the exhaustion, Juyeon felt at peace. The bond they shared as a group made even the hardest days bearable.

On the ride back to the dorm, he scrolled through his phone absentmindedly, his tired eyes barely taking in the texts and notifications that filled his screen. Just as he was about to lock it, a message popped up. It was from their manager—or at least, someone who appeared to be their manager.

"Juyeon," the text read, "Hello Kitty just launched a new limited-edition basketball set. It's only available in stores, and you need to hurry before it sells out! I can take you there now if you want."

Juyeon blinked, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten. Hello Kitty and basketball—two of his favorite things combined into one? His heart leapt with excitement. The exhaustion clouding his mind pushed aside any suspicion he might have felt. Smiling, he quickly typed a reply.
"Yes! Can we go now?"

The response came almost instantly: "Meet me downstairs in five minutes."

Without a second thought, Juyeon leaped from the couch in their dorm's living room, startling Jacob, who was lounging nearby.

"Where are you going in such a rush?" Jacob asked, raising an eyebrow as Juyeon grabbed his sneakers.

"To get a Hello Kitty basketball set with the manager-nim!" Juyeon replied with a grin, already heading out the door. He sent Jacob a quick text as an afterthought: "Don't wait for me!"

Jacob chuckled, shaking his head. Juyeon's excitement over Hello Kitty was something he'd always found endearing. He assumed Juyeon would be back soon, his hands full of new memorabilia. But as hours passed and Juyeon didn't return, Jacob's amusement turned to unease.

The car ride felt unusually long, but Juyeon was too focused on his excitement to pay much attention. As the cityscape began to fade into quieter, dimly lit streets, he started to grow uneasy.

"Isn't the store in the city?" he asked hesitantly.

The "manager" chuckled. "This is a special location. Only this store is selling the set."

Juyeon nodded slowly, deciding to trust the explanation. After all, their manager often knew about exclusive events and releases.

The "manager" handed him a bottle of water. "You must be thirsty after practice."

Grateful, Juyeon accepted the bottle and drank deeply. The water was cool and refreshing, but as he finished it, an unsettling heaviness settled in his limbs. His eyelids grew heavier with each passing moment, and his vision blurred.

"I don't... feel... right..." he mumbled, his voice slurring.

The last thing he saw was the smirk on the "manager's" face before darkness claimed him.

When Juyeon woke, a biting cold pierced through his thin clothing. His body ached, and as he tried to move, he realized with growing dread that his wrists and ankles were tied tightly to a metal pipe behind him. The air was freezing, and he shivered uncontrollably, his breath visible in the frigid warehouse.

The building was old and decrepit, with holes in the roof that allowed icy wind to whip through the space. Debris littered the ground, and the faint smell of rust and mildew lingered in the air. He was dressed only in his sweatpants and a long-sleeve shirt—completely inadequate against the cold.

"Hello?!" he called out, his voice trembling. "Is anyone there?!"

Silence.

He struggled against the ropes, his wrists chafing painfully. Tears pricked his eyes, frustration and fear building as he realized the gravity of his situation. His mind raced. Who had done this? Why him?
