The air in the practice room felt heavy. Music blared from the speakers as The Boyz rehearsed tirelessly, each member focused on perfecting their performance. Their comeback was only a few weeks away, and the pressure was mounting.

Haknyeon, usually one of the more energetic and lively members, seemed off. His movements were sluggish, his steps slightly out of sync. He was sweating more than usual, his face pale, but he didn't dare stop.

Hyunjae's sharp voice cut through the music. "Haknyeon! Can you at least try to keep up?"

Haknyeon froze, his head hanging low. "I'm sorry, hyung," he mumbled, barely audible over the music.

The other members exchanged uneasy glances. Tensions between Hyunjae and Haknyeon had been bubbling for weeks. Hyunjae, who was usually playful and understanding, seemed to have a shorter fuse lately, and Haknyeon, sensitive at heart, bore the brunt of it.

Hyunjae's frustration only grew as practice continued. Every mistake Haknyeon made felt like a personal affront, though he didn't understand why it bothered him so much.

Finally, the music stopped, signaling a break. Most of the members scattered, some heading to the lounge and others grabbing water. Only Haknyeon and Hyunjae stayed behind.

Haknyeon replayed the music on his phone, determined to get the choreography right. He practiced in front of the mirror, his movements shaky and unsteady.

Hyunjae watched from the corner of the room, his arms crossed. The sight of Haknyeon struggling sparked a mix of emotions-irritation, concern, and something he couldn't quite name.

"Are you even trying?" Hyunjae snapped.

Haknyeon flinched. He turned to face Hyunjae, his face pale and slick with sweat. "I... I am," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Then why does it look like you're not?" Hyunjae shot back. His words were sharper than he intended, but he didn't stop. "You're dragging the whole group down, Haknyeon. We don't have time for this."

Haknyeon's lips trembled, and he looked away, ashamed. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice cracking.

Hyunjae rolled his eyes and turned to leave. "Just get it together, okay?"

As Hyunjae reached the door, he heard a soft sniffle. He stopped, turning back to see Haknyeon standing frozen, tears streaming down his face.

Hyunjae's irritation faltered. "Haknyeon, are you crying?"

Haknyeon tried to wipe his tears away, but his hand moved to his nose instead. When he pulled it back, it was smeared with blood.

Hyunjae's heart sank. Before he could say anything, Haknyeon's voice cracked again. "It hurts, hyung," he said, his tone fragile and broken, like glass about to shatter.

Hyunjae's eyes widened as he took a step toward Haknyeon, but before he could reach him, Haknyeon's knees buckled, and he collapsed.

The sound of Haknyeon's body hitting the floor echoed through the room, followed by the sickening thud of his head against the polished wood.

For a moment, Hyunjae stood frozen, his mind racing. Then the reality of the situation hit him like a freight train.

"Haknyeon!" he shouted, rushing to his side. He dropped to his knees, his hands shaking as he gently lifted Haknyeon's head.

Haknyeon's face was pale, his breathing shallow and uneven. A small streak of blood trickled from his nose, staining the corner of his mouth.

Hyunjae's heart pounded as he tried to wake him. "Haknyeon, open your eyes. Please."

When Haknyeon didn't respond, Hyunjae fumbled for his phone, his fingers trembling so much he could barely unlock it. He dialed Juyeon's number, his voice cracking as he explained what had happened.

"Stay with him," Juyeon said firmly. "We're coming."

Within minutes, the door to the practice room burst open, and Juyeon, Jacob, and Sunwoo rushed in.

Jacob immediately crouched beside Hyunjae, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to Hyunjae's panic. He checked Haknyeon's pulse and breathing, his brow furrowing with concern.

"He's breathing, but it's weak," Jacob said. "We need to get him back to the dorm. He needs rest."

Juyeon and Sunwoo helped Hyunjae lift Haknyeon, carrying him carefully out of the practice room. The ride back to the dorm was silent, tension thick in the air as the members worried about Haknyeon's condition.

At the dorm, they laid Haknyeon on the couch, propping his head up with a pillow. Jacob wiped his face with a damp cloth while Juyeon fetched water.

Hyunjae sat on the floor beside Haknyeon, his head in his hands. "This is my fault," he muttered, his voice thick with guilt. "I pushed him too hard."

Jacob placed a reassuring hand on Hyunjae's shoulder. "Hyunjae, you didn't know he was this unwell. None of us did."

"But I saw how tired he looked," Hyunjae said, his voice breaking. "And I still... I didn't stop."

Juyeon knelt beside him. "Then make it right when he wakes up. Right now, he needs us to be here for him."

Hours passed before Haknyeon stirred. His eyelids fluttered open, and he groaned softly, his hand moving to his aching head.

"Haknyeon!" Hyunjae leaned forward, relief flooding his face. "You're awake."

Haknyeon blinked up at him, confusion clouding his features. "Hyung... what happened?"

"You fainted during practice," Hyunjae said, his voice thick with emotion. "Haknyeon, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have pushed you so hard."

Haknyeon's lips curved into a faint smile. "It's okay, hyung. I should've told you I wasn't feeling well."

"No," Hyunjae said firmly. "It's not okay. I should've seen it. I should've been looking out for you, not tearing you down."

The other members gathered around, their faces full of concern.

"We're a team, Haknyeon," Juyeon said gently. "You don't have to go through this alone."

Jacob added, "And Hyunjae isn't the only one who should've noticed. We're all responsible for each other."

Haknyeon's eyes filled with tears, but this time, they weren't from pain or exhaustion. "Thank you," he whispered.

Hyunjae reached out, squeezing Haknyeon's hand. "I'll do better, Haknyeon. I promise."

In the days that followed, Hyunjae made good on his promise. He became more patient and attentive, checking in on Haknyeon and making sure he didn't overwork himself.

For Haknyeon, the experience was a turning point. It reminded him that he wasn't alone, that his members cared for him deeply, even when tensions ran high.

And for The Boyz as a whole, it was a lesson in the strength of their bond-a bond that could weather any storm.
