The atmosphere at the airport was chaotic, as always, whenever Seventeen traveled. Despite the exhaustion from their successful overseas schedules, the members were in high spirits. Conversations flowed easily as they navigated through the terminal, flanked by bodyguards.
Woozi was walking near the back of the group, his head bent over his phone. He wasn’t one for noisy chatter, preferring to listen to the members from a slight distance. The airport was bustling with life: the clatter of luggage wheels, muffled announcements over the intercom, and the distant buzz of fans who had spotted the group. Woozi paid it little mind, used to the routine.
What he didn’t expect, though, was the crowd surging toward them.
A large group of fans had found their way to the terminal, their excitement quickly turning into chaos. Security scrambled to form a barrier around the members, but the sheer number of people made it difficult. Woozi, already at the edge of the group, was inadvertently pushed further back.
Woozi tried to catch up, but every time he took a step forward, the crowd seemed to swallow him more. Someone bumped into him hard from behind, causing him to stumble. He tried to steady himself, but the push-and-pull of the crowd overwhelmed him.
His heart began to race.
“Wait!” he called out, his voice drowned by the noise. He couldn’t even see the members anymore, the sea of people around him becoming an impenetrable wall.
A wave of panic hit him as someone shoved him roughly to the side. He lost his balance completely this time, falling to the cold, hard floor. Pain shot through his elbow as he landed, and before he could get up, the crowd surged again.
Feet stepped over and around him. A few people accidentally kicked his legs, one even trampling on his ankle. Woozi gasped in pain, his small frame curled protectively as he tried to shield himself from the chaos.
At the front of the group, Hoshi had been chatting animatedly with Dino and Jun, his energy seemingly unaffected by the long flight. But something made him glance back over his shoulder—a gut feeling he couldn’t ignore.
He scanned the group, quickly counting heads.
One, two, three... twelve?
His stomach dropped. “Wait,” he muttered, halting mid-step. He turned to Dino, his voice tinged with worry. “Where’s Woozi?”
Dino looked around, his expression turning serious. “He was behind us a minute ago.”
Hoshi didn’t wait. He pushed through the cluster of members, heading straight for S.Coups at the front. “Hyung!”
S.Coups turned, immediately sensing Hoshi’s distress. “What’s wrong?”
“Woozi’s gone,” Hoshi blurted, his voice slightly higher than usual. “He’s not with us. I think he got separated in the crowd.”
S.Coups’ face hardened, his protective instincts kicking in. “Are you sure?”
Hoshi nodded, the fear in his eyes unmistakable. “I checked. He’s not here.”
The leader didn’t waste a second. “Everyone, stop!” S.Coups called out, his voice firm. The members froze, confusion flashing across their faces.
“Woozi’s missing,” S.Coups announced, his tone leaving no room for questions. “Spread out and look for him. Stay in pairs, and don’t lose sight of each other. Alert the bodyguards. We’ll find him.”
