Yushi had always admired his seniors. He looked up to the members of NCT, WayV, and even NCT Dream, seeing them not just as idols but as older brothers. Since his trainee days, he had formed bonds with each of them, with the older members offering him guidance, encouragement, and friendship. It was during those early days when Yushi's struggles seemed endless that the older members, especially those in WayV, had pulled him out of his shell.

He remembered how, in the first few months after his arrival, he had felt so isolated-lost in a foreign country, learning a new language, struggling to understand a new culture, and worrying about how he would make it as a trainee. But then, there was Ten, Kun, and Xiaojun, who took him under their wings. Their patience, their stories, and their shared wisdom had been the light guiding him through those challenging moments.

At the time, he thought nothing could change this dynamic. He had always been close to his older members, particularly with Xiaojun, who was like a brother to him. They had spent countless hours practicing together, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. Yushi felt as though he was becoming part of something much bigger than himself-part of a family. He thought this connection was unbreakable.

But something shifted, and Yushi began to feel it in the air.

At first, it was subtle-small things that Yushi brushed off. Sakuya and Ryo, the younger members of NCT Wish, had always been close to the older members, like Ryo with Ten, Kun, and Yangyang, and Sakuya with Xiaojun, Hendery and Winwin. The three of them had a natural bond that seemed to grow stronger with every passing day. But as Yushi started spending more time with the older members of NCT and WayV, something in the dynamic began to change.

At first, Yushi didn't think much of it. He simply assumed it was a natural evolution of their group's relationships. After all, Ryo and Sakuya were both talented and charismatic in their own way, and they had their own connections to the seniors. But soon, he began to notice the tension when they were all together. Sakuya, who had always been an outgoing and energetic individual, had started pulling him away from Xiaojun, always looking for reasons to occupy his attention. Ryo, who was once friendly and warm, had started being colder and more distant, looking for excuses to avoid the older members when Yushi was around.

One night, after a late practice session, Yushi found himself sitting alone in the lounge, scrolling through his phone when Ryo and Sakuya walked in. Normally, they would sit with him and joke around, but tonight, they both avoided eye contact, instead talking amongst themselves in hushed tones. Yushi felt the weight of their silence, something unspoken that hung heavily in the air.

He wanted to ask what was wrong, but the words never came. He told himself that it was just his imagination. They were probably just tired from practice. But as the days wore on, the distance between him and the younger members grew. It wasn't just in the way they acted toward him-it was in the way they looked at him. There was something more there-something like jealousy.

Days turned into weeks, and the shift in the group dynamic became impossible to ignore. Ryo and Sakuya started spending more time with the older members, pulling them away from Yushi when he tried to engage. It was as though they were trying to make a point-subtly, but unmistakably. Every time Yushi approached them, they'd be engaged in a conversation with Ten, Kun, or Xiaojun, leaving him standing awkwardly in the background.

One evening, after practice, Yushi overheard a conversation between Sakuya and Ryo. He was standing by the door to the lounge, not intending to eavesdrop, but the words cut through the air, sharp and clear.

"Sakuya, I don't understand," Ryo's voice was tinged with frustration. "Why does he always get their attention now? Why does Yushi-hyung get all the affection from the hyungs? Don't you see it? It's like we're invisible to them."
