*Jessie's pov*

It took us two hours to do the food shopping. That's way to long, but you know when you go to an new supermarket and you don't know where anything is? I think that was the soul reason to it all, or that's my excuse anyway. It felt like longer too because I knew Emma was waiting at home for me and I felt bad taking ages. I couldn't wait to see her and meet Charlotte. Emma doesn't really stop talking about her unless we're talking about me having a sperm donor from Danny. That conversation still makes me laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" Holly asked. I really don't want to talk about the whole sperm donor thing, especially in public where I can be recognised. Quick Jess think. Luckily my phone stated vibrating in my pocket.

"My phone was tickling me." I said as I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I looked over to Holly to see her trying to suppress a giggle. I missed the call. Typical. Five missed calls from Emma in the last five minutes. She better not have burnt the house down. I rang her back.

"Hey Em, are you okay?" I asked as soon as I answered.

"Actually Jessie, this is Charlotte. I -"

"Where's Emma?" I cut her off. I remembered what happened the last time somebody else rang me on Emma's phone.

"Emma is in hospital. In the Gwent."

"I'll be there soon. Don't worry." I hung up not wanting to waste any time.

I literally threw the shopping in the car and sped all the way home. I think I'm gonna get a few points on my license.

"Jess, what's happened?" Holly asked when we were halfway home.

"Emma's in hospital. I knew I shouldn't have let her go to school." I said the last bit more to myself than to Holly.

"Jess, this isn't your fault okay? You weren't to know what was going to happen. What has happened anyway?"

"I don't know. I didn't wait to find out." I admitted realising how stupid that was.

"Jess. You could be worrying about nothing."

"I know, but I could also be worrying about something that I should be worrying about."

We drove the rest of the way in silence which is strange for us so I turned the radio up and we just sang along to the radio.

"I'm sorry I have to go Jess." Holly apologised once she had helped me put the cold stuff away.

"I totally understand. Good luck with your dancing." I put on a smile but it was fake and Holly could tell. I was too worried about Emma.

"Hey Emma will be fine." Holly said wiping away tears that I was unaware of. "Send her my love." She said as got in her car and drove away.

I tried to stick to the speed limit as I drove to the hospital. I was gripping the steering wheel so hard that my fingers went white and my knuckles cracked. Who ever did this to Emma is gonna pay. I had put one of my favorite albums on; The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill to try and calm me down a bit but it wasn't working.

I finally arrived at the hospital at six thirty five. There's not long until the gig I wonder if we'll still be able to go. I found out where Emma was and walked over to hear chatting coming from her room.

"She threw me into Mr Pratt's office..." I heard Emma telling whoever was in there and I burst in, shortly followed by who I guess was Charlotte. Emma was sat up smiling and looked perfectly happy as she flashed her toothy grin. A breath I hadn't realised I'd been holding left me and I sat next to her on her bed and wrapped my arms around her. "I missed you too." She giggled into my shoulder.
