*Emma's pov*

"So where's Rach and Lucy?" Shelly asked

"I actually have no idea. I'll ring them." I scrolled down my contacts looking for Rachel's as I didn't know her number off by heart. I hit jackpot. I found Lucy's too. 'W' was just above 'Wadleton'. Lucy must have added it to my phone when she took it from Mr Ingham. Thinking about it, it's probably illegal, but who cares. I decided to ring Lucy first.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey Luc, it's Emma."

"Oh hi, is everything okay?"

"Yeah thanks, I was just wondering, did you find Rach?"

"Yeah, we're still at the police station. This is taking longer than we thought because it actually happened in Manchester, they have to link the two Police divisions together and all that crap, so we may be here all night. You're not home alone are you?"

"No, Shelly and Linda are here at the moment, Jess has literally just gone home. Is Rach there at the moment?" I asked

"Yeah. Why?" She asked

"Can I speak to her?"

"I'll ask her." The line went quiet for a minute or two.

"Hey Em." Rachel spoke up. Her voice sounded rough as if she's been crying. She probably has thinking about it. Rape is very hard to think about, let alone talk about.

"Hey Rach, are you okay?" I asked

"I feel a lot better now." She replied, her voice still shaky.

"That's good. Errrm, is it okay if Linda speaks to you? Her and Shelly have come down after finding out what happened today, and I told them about Lawrence. I'm sorry." I apologised.

"It's fine. I should have told then sooner anyway. What happened today?" She's asked

"Did Lucy not tell you?"

"Nope... What happened at school?"

"Well... There's this teacher that we like to call blonde bitch..." I explained what had happened in school for what felt like the hundredth time today and I know the police will want a statement off me.

"So after all that you've only got a dislocated ankle?"

"I had one yeah. Now it's just painful." I told her.

"Well that's lucky I guess."

"Yeah I know. Can Linda speak to you now?" I asked.

"Errrrm, yeah of course." She answered hesitantly.

"Are you sure?" I asked

"Yeah, I'll see you whenever I see you next then. When are you leaving for Yorkshire?"

"We're leaving at half four tomorrow morning." I sighed.

"Good luck with that one then."

"Thanks Rach." I replied sarcastically and handed the phone over to Linda.

"So Shel, do you want a drink?"

"Yes please."

"Tea? Coffe? Something stronger?"

"What have you got that's stronger?"

"Thought that would be the answer. Come with me." I smiled and took her hand and walked into the kitchen. I opened the cupboard by the oven to find the alcohol. My parents weren't alcoholics but they did like a glass of wine every night so we had plenty in stock. "Help yourself..." I gestured to the cupboard and she dived in. Almost literally.
