Crime scene

"So there's literally nothing here? I kind of hadn't believed you when you said there were no signs of a struggle."

Dec nodded. "Nothing. It was like this when it was found."
"How long ago?"
"Week or so."
Alysha bit her lip in thought, looking at the grey section of sidewalk. "So... if there was anything, any evidence, it could potentially be gone?"
Dec scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Um... yeah. Sorry."

Alysha exaggeratedly rolled her eyes, sighing. "Okay, is there a newer site? I'm not some morbid tourist, I'm actually trying to work out what the hell is going on. Also if there's any way I can use this to my advantage. Different story. But seriously, nothing newer?"
"Nope. The disappearances seem to be random, and not extremely often. Often enough, mind."

Alysha massaged her temples thoughtfully. "So talk me through exactly what happened here."

"A young werewolf family goes into the shop around evening time. Dad steps out to take a call. Never returns."
"And you definitely know he disappeared here?"
"Last place anyone saw him."

Alysha groaned. "So again, you've essentially got nothing. He could have disappeared miles away from here for all we know!"

She played with her hair agitatedly, flinging it over one shoulder. "Okay, so, hypothetically going on that he did disappear here, there are very few options of how he could have been taken without being seen. It would be fairly dark, so he could have been straight up grabbed, but that could potentially make a scene if he fights back. There was no blood or... pieces, I assume, so he probably wasn't injured or eaten. Unless it ate him whole, but I doubt it. Someone would have noticed. Thing is, it's too open for most kinds of attack. If he was taken, it would have to be somewhere more recluse... wait, someone called him. I wonder..."

Sorry, it's a lot of confusing chit-chat, but I'm trying to make it make sense.
