Over-thinking

"She's your self-proclaimed arch nemesis."
The words shouldn't have been haunting Sebastian, but they were.

A girl, called Alysha.

The fact she was little more than a name to him was fascinating. He didn't know an Alysha, couldn't picture this person.
She was just a name to him, not even a threatening one, either.

Just a name.

And yet, the fact he didn't know anything about her made her all the more... taunting.

She could be anything, anyone. The potential being more intriguing than any realty could be.

"Self-proclaimed arch nemesis."

Thinking about it, that was probably a bit exaggerated on the faeries behalf. But it was clear she was an enemy. A yet-to-be-seen enemy.

Unless you were that damn faerie, who always seemed to know something he didn't.

If she weren't so useful, she'd be dead already, just for getting under his skin.

And why was he spending so much time thinking about this 'Alysha'? Until now, she'd never even come up.

Assuming Alysha was a she. It could be a he. Or it could be a group of people. An object. A code word for something.

And now he was over-thinking it.

Damn that faery.

Thinking about it, in context with what she'd said, Alysha was probably a person.
And probably a girl.

And somehow knew he was alive.

Now the list of people who knew that was very short, and not one was called anything close to Alysha.

Unless it was a fake name.

Good God, the faerie hadn't given herself a murderous alter ego called Alysha, had she?

Actually, much as he'd like the excuse to get rid of her, there was one small point that negated this.
"Currently unrevealed score to settle with Lilith."

Luci worshipped Lilith. Literally.

So this was someone who hated her. Someone who wanted revenge.

And yet, just from that, if he played his cards right, a potential allie.

Good? Makes sense?
