Nyx woke up tied to the sofa again.
She groaned, throwing back her head against the seat. "Let me guess, you either talked to Evelyn or Magnus."
Owen scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Sorry. But they told us we had no choice. They said Alysha's really dangerous, apparently. I mean, she did come across as a bit loopy, to be fair. And... we just didn't want you hurting anyone, or yourself."

Nyx glanced around the room. "Where's everyone else?"
"Travis is trying to sleep off a hangover. Nick... I think he's trying to make sense of why he ended up snogging his best mate."
"Ah. Oh. That's going to be awkward." Nyx nibbled her lip nervously.
Owen shrugged. "Maybe not. Maybe it'll be fine. I mean, it's obvious they like each other. Who knows what going to happen?"
"It's Nick."
"Good point. It's going to be awkward."

Nyx chuckled, trailing off. "So... can you untie the ropes now?"

"Sorry, I don't think so yet."

"But I need the bathroom!"

Owen groaned. "Good God, I can't deal with this. How do I know you're not Alysha trying to escape?"
"I'm not Alysha trying to escape! I'm Nyx trying to escape! Fairly different, same goal, but I ask nicely and don't say everything in that happy, cheery, I'm-a-psychopath-and-I-love-it, I'm-going-to-now-sing-a-song-whilst-I-surgically-remove-your-eyeballs kind of way!"

Owen looked worried. "Has she actually done that?"
"She might if you don't untie us!"

Owen attempted to calm her. "Ssh. Look. Evelyn is, as we speak, trying to find out what she can about Alysha. You just have to stay calm and cooperate."

"Yes, because that doesn't sound sketchy at all."
