Alysha whipped her head around when she felt the tremors.

Immediately, she pinpointed Luci, and then trailed her eyes upwards to see the cracks spiderwebbing up the wall, being forced apart by a mix of ice and magic.

Damn it! She swore under her breath, gliding through the sea of figures as if they weren't there.

That was, until she went down on her knees, clutching her head and gasping in pain.
Her head throbbed, and she knew exactly what it was.

"Oh, Nyx, sweetheart. Not yet. I'm sorry, but not yet!" She gritted her teeth, grunting as she forced the pain down.

So Nyx was free from her little bubble. But Alysha was still in control, and that was how she was determined to stay.

Pushing herself up, she rushed at Luci, only to go sprawling to the ground in the wake of another tremor, gravel sized chunks of rock raining down on her from all sides.

Her eyes opened wide as she pushed pieces of stone off herself.

Things have just gone from bad to worse, and they were pretty nightmarish to begin with.

The cavern shook again, more and more violently, increasing in volume until the whole place was shaking violently, dust raining down upon everyone.

Priorities suddenly reshuffled, Alysha bolted for the exit tunnel, survival instinct overriding everything else.

Until the hands grabbed her collar, dragging her back into the cave.

"Hell, Lovely, you just don't give up, do you?"

Lilith snarled "Your little illusions are gone. No more tricks. Now more escapes. Stand up and fight for yourself for once, if you can!"

Alysha whined, wriggling like a fish on a hook. "But you're so much better at the violent stuff than me!"

The roof of the cave rumbled ominously above then.

Alysha craned her head back. "Fucking hell."

And then the roof began to fall.
