Argument

"Just go!"
"No!"
"Just leave!"
"No"
"Please! I love you. You're my bestest friend."
"That's a pathetic trick that only works on kindergarteners."
"But... I don't want to be caught up with the Clave. Neither do you."
"Tough."

There was an angry silence between Nyx and Alysha.

Minutes passed.

Nyx let out a sigh of relief, noticing Julianna returning to her from Maddie's parents.
She shot her a weak grin.

"Let's get out of here."
"No, go away!"
"I'll get us out of here if you like."
"Hell no, there's no way you're getting back in the driver's seat."
"That's what you think."

"Nyx, are you alright? You look a little... are you alright?"

Nyx gestured to her head. "It's... yeah. So..."
Julianna gestured over her shoulder. "That lot are deciding the best way to deal with this. Seriously, just arrange a portal home, and we'll deal with the paperwork at the institute. The best thing for you has got to be your family."

"Yeah, sure. The fact they tied us up..."
"That was your fault. You're a danger."
"Oh, and your secret boyfriend's not?"
"Why you little..."

"... I've sort of told them about Alysha, but not in great detail. Actually, I think they've got the wrong end of the stick and think you're possessed, sorry. I just figured you didn't want them knowing all the details, not without telling them yourself."

"Besides, she's not possessed. We're sharing."
"Wait one minute! You explain what you mean by that right now!"
"Wow, you mentally yell really loud."
"Tell me what you are right now!"
"Take me to the caves, and I'll do better than that."
"Why you...!"
"You're cute when you're mad."
"I'm going to fucking kill you!"
"Good luck!"

Nyx leant forwards, massaging her temples, head throbbing.

Julianna frowned. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"No"

Moments passed, Nyx breathing hard, struggling with her swirling head. Quiet reigned.

Julianna interrupted. "Better now?"
"Yeah." Said Alysha. "Lot's better."
