Alysha was off like a flash, darting between the columns of glittering stone, Sebastian following seconds later, drawing a second knife from his belt.

Squeezing between stone pillars and diving down the smallest passages, she would glance behind her every now and then, giving him this teasing smile as if it were her intention to lead him by a string, not close enough to catch her, not far enough away to loose her.

And then she was gone, and he was alone.

Anger tore through his veins like fire, frustration tearing at his mind.
This... Person, wore Nyx's face, and yet was not the girl he'd come to care for.
This person was violent, unpredictable, and possibly crazy.
And to get even a clue what was going on, he would have to catch her, and force her to explain, one way or another.

And yet... Nyx.
She looked like Nyx. She sounded like Nyx. She felt like Nyx. And it was throwing him out.

Angrily, he slammed his fist into the wall.

"Temper, temper." Clucked a voice from... Somewhere.
He spun wildly.
There she was.

And... There.

And... There.

And... Everywhere.

She stood just so, reflected a thousand times all around him in the rock, looking like she was peering around a column of stone, wicked half smile taunting him as she stood camouflaged in a ring of her own reflections.

She cackled. "So, handsome, your eyes deceive you. So, in place of your sight, are you willing to listen?"

He walked forwards, reaching for the nearest 'her', feeling his fingers run over the smooth, glassy surface as he traced her face. Slowly, he walked in a circle, examining each image.

"Talk."

The images disappeared, reappearing as she moved possition. "Technically, you owe me your life."

He reached behind a column and dragged her out.
She shreiked. "Shit! You're smarter than I gave you credit for!"

"What do you mean, I owe you my life?"
