"Okay, Nick, when you reach the bottom of the steps, you should see a large door with yellow and black edging, and a push bar to open. Do you see it?"

"I'm not blind. It's kind of hard to miss."

If he sassed her one more time, Evelyn was going to smack him.

Not that he was within her reach, being down the metal hatch that lead to her laboratory.

But still...

"Okay, I want you to carefully push it open. It's not alarmed, don't worry. Just heavy, so whatever you do, don't let it slam. Are you following?"

"Hang on, give me a minute. I need both hands."

Seconds later, Evelyn heard the faint sound of metal sliding on metal as Nick obviously pushed open the door, grunting slightly with the effort.
Second later, he spoke down the phone.
"Let me guess, I go in?"

"Yes." Evelyn said. "Just... be very careful, okay? I don't know what's got in there after I left."

"You mentioned already. Okay, I'm going in."

"Roger that." Said Travis sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "Do you think he's enjoying this a bit too much?"
"Just a little." Agreed Evelyn, putting the phone back up to her ear. "Okay, describe to me, what do you see?"

"Tables. Lots of tables. Some... bunsen burner-y things and some test tubes, bunch of other science-y stuff..."
Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Okay, go to the... third cupboard on the left hand side. Labeled 'acid catalysts'. Do you see it?"

"Uh huh."

"Good. You're looking for nitric acid. Just for God's sake don't get it on yourself. Get some rubber gloves, they're by the sink. And some goggles, hanging on the back of the door."

"What about a lab coat?"

"If you like. Just make sure you bring some for us."
