Locked up tight

Lilith glared at the stone wall, anger visible in every ounce of her being.
"Oh, look at that, paying homage to their little Guardian. How... sweet."
Her tone suggested it was anything but.

Luci peered at the artworks again, careful not to touch. "Is that her there? That figure, the large one with all the fancy... Yeah. That her?"
Lilith scowled. "Obviously. Nobody else would be painted so... reverently."

Luci nodded in agreement. "Ah, I thought so. And... I'm sorry, but who is the Guardian? Or what is the Guardian? And what are these Caves, because they certainly aren't normal."

"Yes, I'd very much like to know that too." Sebastian purred, coming up behind them. He tilted his head, examining the cave painting. "So... this is what we were looking for?"
He did not sound impressed.

"Not quite. This is more like the lock between us and our goal."

He perused the wall with sceptical eyes. "Go on then. Unlock it."
Lilith trailed her fingers along the walls, tracing the swirls of the pictures.

Several minutes passed, and now both Sebastian and Luci were sceptical, although she was showing it less than he was.

"You don't know how to open that, do you?" He said at last.

Lilith scowled at him. He glared back, face like thunder. "And another thing, how does any of this benefit me? Because you've been leading me on with promises of revenge, and so far I've been left in my room like a naughty child, forced to play zookeeper to your draugr monstrosities, and dragged on a wild goose chase to scramble around some caves! You forget, I don't have to be here. You obviously need me, more than I need you."

Lilith hissed. "How dare..." Then she stopped. "Someone's in the cave system."
Luci smirked slightly, and took the opportunity to wind Sebastian up further, whispering in his ear. "Ten bucks says it's Alysha."

He snarled. "I'll deal with it."
