Finding a cure

"... So, what do we do to cure her?" Travis said, trying to keep his cool as Evelyn read information from the book, searching through the articles.
"All very well knowing some ancient Egyptians caught a similar disease, but how did they cure it?"

Evelyn swallowed nervously. "That's the thing...No don't think they 'cured' anyone, per say. Just... Prevented the spread of it, by quarantining and even... Putting down the sick."

Selene growled threateningly. "No one is 'putting down' Rach. No one."

Evelyn looked around the room, taking in the glares of Rachel's angry children, who'd all switched from panicking about their mum, to ready to lynch Evelyn to defend her.
Evelyn's eyes eventually found Magnus and she sent him a pleading look.
Magnus shrugged. "Well, doctor. You better start succeeding where the ancient civilisations failed. Find a cure."

Evelyn nodded. "Yes, but..."
"But what?" Nick said curtly.
"I... May need... Some specialist equipment. From my lab. In my mansion. Which is... You know... Overrun."

Nick smiled kindly, eyes harsh and cold. "No worries, we'll help you get it, won't we, Trav?"
Travis's eyes went wide. "Wait, why are you singling out me?"

"Because your my best friend? And I usually refer to you?"

Travis snorted. "So nothing to do with my amazing stealth skills then?"

A short while later, and​ they were crusing around in Evelyn's Mercedes, trying to find the best and closest place to the mansion to park, without arousing suspicion from anyone, or anything, that could be watching.
Evelyn spoke, a serious expression on her face. " The emergency door to the lab, which I used to escape last time, is located just after the main gate, to the right side. It does open from the outside, don't worry, and is fairly easy to get to. But thing is..."

"Dragur, and demons, and God knows, oh my!" Travis said sarcastically. "You know, kind of wishing Maddie was 3D again, she'd be great for this."
