Silence.

There was silence everywhere you turned, except for the sound of your feet stepping in the cool Bunker floor.

You rubbed your face with your right hand, the other hand is of not much use since you twisted it when you tripped and fell down the stairs to the kitchen. You had a fever and you were extremely dizzy. You didn't see the step ahead and fell. Thankfully, Sam and Dean were home then. To add on, you had broke your ankle. Talk about klutz...

It's been four days since they've been gone for a case to another state. At first, they didn't want to leave you alone but you pushed them to go, telling them to save lives. You regret sending them away now.

Sure, Castiel was with you but he had to go yesterday for urgent business in Heaven. You're all alone in the Bunker now. The large size of it intimidating you.

TRING! TRING!

You furrowed your eyebrows when you looked at the caller ID: UNKNOWN. You picked up the phone hesitantly and said, "Hello?"

"Hey [y/n], its Dean," The older Winchester said and you smiled. "Hi Dean! Everything okay? What's wrong with your own phone?" You asked, curious as to why he didn't call with his own number.

"There's something wrong with the signal here, I'm using a payphone," He explained and you nodded, even though he couldn't see you.

"So... how are you doing?" He questioned, a smile apparent in his voice. "Fine? Don't tell me you just called yo ask me how I am. Seriously, what's up?" You would have placed a hand in your hip but well, you lacked the freedom of movement.

"Nothing, Sa-I just wanted to know how you are," He answered and you raised an eyebrow, "How's Cas?"

You sighed, "Gone."

There was no response from the other end for a few moments.

"Son of a-I told him to stay with you the whole time!" Dean said with anger. "He had really urgent business to attend to. He had even offered to take me with him but I refused. I don't think I'm in shape for a trip to Heaven!" You explained.

"W-Where's Sammy?" You asked and Dean took the phone suddenly away from his ear. "FOR YOU," You heard him whisper loudly. You smiled and shook our head.

"H-Hey [y/n]," Sam said and you smiled widely. You were imagining an adorable, shy smile on his face while he spoke into the phone.

"Hey Sammy-"

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

You removed the phone from your ear and stared at it.

He hung up.

You would have been offended but you remembered that they were using a payphone and they probably ran out of call time.

"DEAN! It's over!" Sam yelled out to his brother, who was busy trying to get a candy bar from a vending machine.

Dean turned around with confusion. Sam ran to him and attempted to grab the change in his brother's hand but Dean possessed quick reflexes and moved his hand away.

"Dean give me the money! I need to talk to [y/n]," Sam said stifly. Dean thought about it then grinned, "Fine. Say that you love her and I'll give it to you, and really mean it."

He huffed and clenched his fists. Sam would have punched his brother if they weren't in a public place. He took out a note from his wallet and raised it to Dean's face.

Sam ran around, on the hunt to somehow get some change for it. The place was barely populated, attendants were on their break.

Dean smirked and went back to choosing which candy bar he'd enjoy more. Sam on the other hand, wasn't in that great luck. Either people were busy, didn't bother helping or didn't have the change.

After giving up, Sam ended up back infront of Dean with an unamused expression. "You know what to do little brother. Convince me that you love her," Dean smirked mischievously.

Sam sighed, placing his hands in his pockets, "I... I love her." Dean wasn't that convinced, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms.

"Dean this is stupid, give me the money please!" He pleaded and his brother shook his head, "Why do you want me to say I love her anyways?!"

"Because I know you do, and I want to hear it from you," Dean said and smiled smugly. Sam clenched his jaw then relaxed.

"I love her, I love [y/n]," He told, "Whenever I look at her I feel my heart race in my chest. I feel as if the world is okay, that her very existence makes the world a better place. It makes my world better atleast. All these monsters and creatures take my good mood away but her laugh... her smile... It makes me... happy and keeps me going."

Sam trailed off, your image in his head, while Dean looked at him softly.

"Alright lover boy, here's the money," Dean said and gave Sam what he wanted so bad, "I'm so not going to leave you in peace from now on."

Sam glared at him then made his way back to the payphone and carefully inserted the fee, not wanting to waste it. He picked the phone up, failed your number and waited.

Tapping his leg in impatience, You finally picked the phone up. "Hello Dean, I'm fine thank you very much," You said with a serious tone.

"Oh uh, this is Sam. H-Hi," He stuttered and you sat up straight in your seat. "Hi Sammy! How are you doing?" You asked happily.

"I'm good, um, I'll assume you're fine too because of what you said when you picked up the phone," Sam said and you laughed. He smiled in admiration, loving the melodious sound of your laughter.

"I just called to talk to you, in case you were wondering, and because the line got cut that time. I uh, got bored with just Dean around," Sam explained and you smiled. "Well I'm glad you did Sammy," You said, "Hearing your voice put a smile on my face."

Dean watched Sam talk to you on the phone quietly as he sat down with his chocolate candy bar. Sam had a constant smile on his face, something Dean had only witnessed when you were involved in someway.

He smirked, taking a bite from his chocolate bar. He couldn't wait till he let you listen to the audio recording of Sam confessing his love for him.
