Overthinking

Being in university and all....

How it reeked of freedom.

Judal felt released from Gyokuen's clutches and you felt released from all the burdens you were holding due to your foster mother, who had indeed calmed down lately but you still felt better away from her.

You decided to do a share-room with Judal. You would pay the rent together and things.

Though, Judal and you were receiving proper pocket money to properly rent out an apartment like that on your own but you wanted to live together no matter what, plus you didn't want to burden your families that much.

Be it a good thing or a bad thing, coincidentally Hakuryuu and Alibaba were accepted to the same university and ended up renting an apartment together, said apartment being very close with yours.

Despite being on the same university, you weren't taking the same courses. Thank God the university had a vast variety of courses.

A month had passed since you entered yet you still didn't manage to find out what course Judal was taking...

He just won't tell you what he wants to become!! That made you furious...

Being the open book he was, you believed he would have come and told you by now but noo! Let alone what job he is striving for he won't even speak of his course!

In the meantime you decided on being an elementary school teacher. Being that you were getting along with children so well and your future husband was a big child himself, you decided on that kind of job being interesting. You felt like supporting children in your own way...

And of course you also wanted to drag Judal into school celebrations and have him get bullied by the little children a little.... ^^"

But what kind of life did Judal want to lead... you had no idea.

While you started thinking of potential jobs, a thought crossed your mind!

What if he is plotting on doing a dangerous job!? Wouldn't that be bad?

Ah but you might be overthinking this...

You didn't have classes today and all your mind could think of was Judal being at the university taking his lessons diligently like a proper honour student.....

But what if he is doing dangerous things and not going to school properly!?

No, it wasn't that you didn't trust Judal. You were merely worrying.

All your overthinking was caused by your worrying. You were worried that he might be forced into a dangerous job or a dangerous scheme by other people...

Judal was mentally stronger now and you were keeping watch tenderly over him but deep inside he is still a kid.

And as a kid, he might be misled easily.

That day, when he returned to your apartment around early evening...

"I'm home!"

"Welcome back..."

"Hmm? Is something up? Why the long face?"

Without muttering another word, you pulled him inside and closed the door behind you.

You pulled him all the way until the bed and pushed him on it.

"Ehm? What? What did I do? Are you angry?"

You crawled on top of him and put your hands in both sides of his face.

"Judal!! What job do you intend to do when you graduate? Also... why were you late? Your lessons ended at least 3 hours ago!"

"Ehhh???? W-wait! Let's calm down! I will explain everything so let's calm down, okay?"

He said with a scared voice...

Ah you scared him... You weren't angry but just worried but probably you did seem scary now.

You got off of him and sat on the bed next to him.

Now in a more calm voice you repeated your question...

Okay let me note that I am still in high school so I have no real experience from uni. Please forgive if I start spouting nonsense.
