An 18-year-old in the UK has now died from coronavirus, which is very worrying since they were so young. There's unfortunately been another death in Northern Ireland and 281 deaths across the UK. There are also 5,683 infections across the UK, but thankfully Northern Ireland has 128, which is a lot less than the rest of the UK.
I've heard that McDonald's is going to be completely closed. Previously only the drive-through was open but now it'll be closed as well. Parks in England are being closed as well. And I've heard that they're going to be strict with the social distancing rules. I can understand why all these things are happening, to prevent the spread. But it is very strange how much everything is changing and how the world will come back from this.
My work is still open, but thankfully I've taken holiday leave from last Friday to Friday coming up. So I went be in until the 3rd of April if my work is still open by then. I'm hoping work will be closed because I really don't want to risk infecting my parents. And it makes me stressed going into work and seeing loads of the shelves cleared; then it makes me worry that my family doesn't have enough food and supplies. Someone at work brought in hand sanitizer for the people who are on the tills, so that's good.
Today I stayed in my house all day. I gave my mum her presents for Mother's Day and she really liked them. If there hadn't been the coronavirus around then I would've gone out to a restaurant near us that we really like. Then I watched Bring it On and I loved it and I thought parts of it were funny. It's pretty much a movie about cheerleaders and I found it really interesting because we don't do cheerleading in Northern Ireland. It isn't common in the rest of the UK or Ireland either.
After that, I played VR Worlds and Skyrim VR. I tried London Heist on VR Worlds and in the bar I kept throwing the things about; It was really funny because I threw the lighter at the guy and it hit him right in the face. Unfortunately, I got to a bit where I had to open drawers and I couldn't open them because my hands weren't close enough. But I'm not sure how I was meant to get them closer, so I quit the game.
Then I played Skyrim VR and I got to kill my first dragon, so that was pretty cool. But what I'm really excited for is riding a dragon in VR! I'm terrified of heights so it'll be interesting to see what it feels like and I'll be riding a dragon. It's kinda like a dream, so I hope I'll be able to get to that point.
Then I watched House of Games and the person I wanted to win came last, even though he was first the day before. I also watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, which was really similar to A Christmas Carol. But it was about a man who dated loads of women and the ghosts of the past, present and future visited him. I loved the movie and some of it was funny. Then I watched The Good Doctor and A Question of Sport which I enjoyed.
Stay strong and healthy. And don't go out partying. Bye for now.
