Coronavirus Diary

Day 46 2nd May 2020

There are now 3,689 cases in Northern Ireland, 182,260 in the UK and 21,176 in Ireland. The lockdown might be slowly ending soon, but I've heard the social distancing could go on for ages. It's really sad because I'll want to be able to hug my friends.

I got up and watched Impractical Jokers and in one of the challenges they were in a restaurant and they had to do what the other guys told them to do. It was so funny because Murr crouched at a table and got someone to feed him. Q doesn't eat sushi and the guys made him do embarrassing things but they'd planned to make him eat sushi the whole time. Q refused to eat the sushi and he lost the episode.

Q is scared of spiders so they got him chained to the floor and first they got a remote controlled spider which was pretty funny. Then they put real tarantulas on him and it made me feel kinda itchy, for some reason when I see bugs on people it makes me itchy.

Then I did some work on my dissertation and it's pretty much finished. But I need to go through it and look for spelling mistakes and put in the different forms. Then I'll send it off to my supervisor and hopefully I won't need to do many corrections.

Then I watched House of Games and they had a round where they described movies but changes the words. And I got Forrest Gump and Taken right.

After that I watched The Graham Norton Show and Patrick Stewart was on. I was shocked by how young and good looking his wife was but it was cool seeing him on it. Tandy Newton was also on and she talked about playing with her kids and it sounded cute. 

I watched Gogglebox and I thought it was really funny when Lee gave Jenny his lube and she said it was good for wrinkles.

Then I watched Britain's Got Talent and I loved it when the Beauty and the Beast couple came on. This is their third year on the show, the first year they were Beauty and the Beast, the second year they were Elsa and Sven and this year they came as Ariel and Sebastian the crab. I think they're really funny and entertaining. Although I can't believe the woman is married to the man because he's like 23 years older than her! They finally got through this year.

But my favourite Britain's Got Talent contestant is David J. Watson, he's been on pretty much every year and he's really funny. Unfortunately he's never made it past the first round but if I was a judge I'd give him the golden buzzer. He's a legend!

There were a group of kids on who sung about saving the environment and I thought they were really cute and they had a great message.

I watched two episodes of Grey's Anatomy. There was snow and it was very cold outside and there was an organ coming for a child but it couldn't leave the other hospital because of the weather. DeLuca went out and walked to the other hospital and back to get the organ and he saved the girl. But he didn't wear gloves so he had really bad frostbite and his hands were nearly black. Meredith and Karina told him off and they think that he has mental problems like his dad, which is really annoying because he seems fine. And he made a good point by saying that he doesn't accuse Meredith of having alzheimers when she forgets things.

Bailey showed Joey around the hospital because she was trying to help him decide about his future. Bailey is letting Joey live with her and Ben was annoyed because she didn't discuss it with him first.

Levi's patient left her room so he had to look for her. It turned out that she'd been pretending to be an intern and Richard was going to let her do a surgery until Levi found her and stopped them. She had been studying to be a doctor but she'd had cancer four times so she'd given up.

Richard has shaky hands which is very sad because it means he'll probably have to stop doing surgery. I'm really hoping he won't leave the show but he might.

Teddy was worried about Amelia's baby being Owen's. She went to Koracick's room and they kissed, I can't believe Teddy cheated on Owen! I was pretty shocked.

Alex has been gone for ages and Jo found out that he hadn't been with his mum like he'd said. Meredith, Jo and Bailey got letters from Alex saying that he was leaving. Izzy had kids and they were Alex's so he decided to stay with her.

I'm so annoyed! Alex just left Jo, they'd been through so much together and they were a great couple! And Jo had just gotten over what happened with her mother. I couldn't believe it!

I knew Alex was leaving this season, but I never expected him to ditch Jo for Izzy. I feel so sorry for Jo and I think it's a horrible situation. I honestly think it's bad writing, in my opinion Alex would never leave Jo, they loved each other and they were meant to be together. I did really like Alex and Izzy together but he's better with Jo.

I'm the most annoyed with a TV show I've been in a while. Alex betrayed Jo and I'm not here for it! It would've been fine if Alex and Jo weren't together or even if they'd been dating for a few months, but they were literally married! So, yeah, I'm pretty angry about how Alex left the show, but it's better than him being dead.
