Coronavirus Diary

Day 124 19th July 2020

There's 5,845 cases in Northern Ireland, 294,792 in the UK and 25,760 in Ireland. There's been a few more cases in Northern Ireland over the last few days, it used to be maybe about 4 or so being infected, but yesterday there was 16 and today it was nine new cases, which isn't great.

When I got up I watched Fighting With my Family which is a movie with Florence Pugh, Jack Lowden, Lena Heady, Nick Frost, Vince Vaughn and Dwayne Johnson in it.

It was about a family of wrestlers and the brother and sister tried to get onto WWE, but only the sister made it. I really enjoyed the movie, but I would've liked Dwayne Johnson to be in it more. Although the bit where he met Zak and Saraya was really funny.

After that I watched Titan Games and there was a black woman, Breanna (I don't think I spelt that right) on and she changed tyres in F1 or something. She was against a white woman and Breanna just about won.

There was a new game on where it looked like those rope things you climb at the park, they had to pull those up, but they were made of chains. There was a swim coach against another woman and it was very close, but the coach won because she was taller and was able to reach for the golden pull thing more quickly.

In the final Breanna was against the swim coach and they were pretty close, until the rolling logs, where the coach took over. Unfortunately Breanna never made the ground back because the wall was more difficult because she was short.

There were two brothers on the show and the younger one got through, he had to do the challenge that the swim coach did.

Then the older one was on against a guy who did an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression, which was funny. They had to pull themselves along and 600 pound was added as blocks were added, which is very heavy.

The older brother got to the other end first, but then they had to use a hook to get themselves back. The Arnold guy was better and he won.

In the final he was against the younger brother and it was very close at the start, unfortunately the Arnold guy wasn't good at the logs and the other guy won. No more Schwarzenegger impressions.

Then I watched The Office. Michael hired an assistant who was his nephew, played by Evan Peter's aka Quicksilver in the X-Men movies, he's also in American Horror Story, but I've only seen parts of it. Anyway, he was really lazy and didn't do any work, then he was distracting everyone during a meeting.

Michael tried to deal with him, but he wouldn't behave, so Michael kicked him out. Then the guy was shining the laser into Andy's eye, it was pretty funny. Michael then went out and smacked his bum, it was so funny.

Michael was told off because the guy was an employee, so Michael had to get counselling.

Erin is dating Gabe, the guy from Sabre, I was quite shocked. I really hope her and Andy get back together because I like them as a couple.

Jim was trying to prank Dwight by adding keys to his circle of keys, but Pam was laughing and Dwight caught them. Jim was a bit annoyed that the prank had failed. Then Pam got Kevin to change the elevator buttons and she brought Dwight in and the door wouldn't close properly, it was quite funny. The elevator ended up getting stuck and they had to get repair people to fix it.

Michael had to do counselling with Toby and he wouldn't talk, then he started making up crazy stories. After that Toby played games with him, which got Michael to talk and it's what counsellors do with kids, it was quite funny.

Dwight was refused service at an antique shop and everyone was comparing it to Pretty Woman, so they got Dwight into fancy clothes with a new hairstyle. He went back to the shop and complained and then they showed a photo of how he looked yesterday and he was in overalls with red hands, they'd been scared of him. Then he bought some statue thing.

Andy was in a Sweeney Todd play and Michael was jealous because he'd auditioned but hadn't got the part. Most of the office showed up, but Erin had to look after Jim and Pam's baby. 

During the play a phone went off and the Sweeney Todd actor pretended that it was a bird and tried to get the person to turn it off. It was Andy's phone and he silenced it, but it kept making noise and then he finally turned it off. It was very funny and Andy went way off script.

Erin showed up with the baby and Jim and Pam weren't impressed so they went home and let Erin watch the rest of the play. 

At the end of the performance Michael booed the Sweeney Todd actor and he found out about it, it was so awkward. Michael was doing an audition and playing different characters but the guy stopped him and Michael complained because he hadn't even finished the first act, it was pretty funny.

Then I watched Escape Plan which is a movie with Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 50 Cent, Amy Ryan, Sam Neill and Vinnie Jones in it.

Sylvester escaped from prisons to show their weaknesses and then he was contacted by a woman in the CIA or something and she wanted him to escape from a prison that no one knew about.

His team didn't want him going it because they weren't allowed to help him out and it went against all the rules he had, but he went in anyway. His tracking device was taken out as well, so his team had no idea where he was.

The prison looked very different to a normal one and Sylvester had to work out how the place worked and he got help from Arnold and another guy who was there.

I loved the movie and my mum liked it as well, but my dad barely watched it because he thought it was too predictable.

I watched Jack Ryan and they went into a jungle and the boat driver was meant to stay with the boat, but he went onto the land. He ended up getting lost, so some of them went back to look for him.

Gloria, the president's opponent was doing well in the polls and in the night he went to her house with loads of police and made her an offer. She refused and she moved in with her friend. Then her daughter brought up a bullet and said a man gave it to her to give to Gloria. It was pretty creepy and I really hope they don't get hurt.

Jack went to England and he met a guy there, played by Anthony Stewart Head, aka Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, my mum didn't recognise him. 

The guy who killed the senator, Max had followed Jack to England. He was on a dating app and he was swiping on men and then he met up with a guy at a club. They went back to the guy's house and they were kissing, I couldn't tell if he was doing it for fun or if he had an ulterior motive.

It turned out that he had an ulterior motive, he used the guy because he looked similar and got him to go into a cafe. Then there was a tense chase between Jack and Max, unfortunately he got away.
