Day 61 17th May 2020

I would report the cases in Northern Ireland but they had some kind of system failure, so they couldn't give us the information. It seems quite strange and I hope it'll be working again soon. In the UK there are 243,695 cases and 24,112 in Ireland.

There's 1.5 million cases in the USA and over 90,000 deaths which is crazy and very sad. The USA has the most cases and deaths out of all the countries and I hope it'll get better soon.

I've heard that the UK is working on a vaccine and that it may be finished by September if everything goes well. That would be ideal, but I'm not sure if it will happen.

They've also been talking about Covid-19 getting worse again in the winter when it's flu season. I really don't know what it'll be like this winter, we might have to go into another lockdown. But I really hope that doesn't happen.

When I got up I watched Rob vs. Romesh and they had to do basketball. They'd been practicing shooting hoops and they weren't very good at it. They were meant to be going on at halftime during a basketball game but the NBA guy said it was cancelled because there wasn't enough time.

They had to go to a basketball game in France instead. This time they had to dance and then help a team of basketball guys who do tricks like flips and jumps. There was a dancer on and he was really good and he was meant to interrupt Rob and Romesh and dance in front of them.

He thought they were so bad that he ran to the middle so that they wouldn't be in the shot. He'd specifically been told not to go to the centre because there wasn't enough time. I felt sorry for Rob and Romesh and I actually thought they were pretty good dancers, far better than me anyway.

Then they had to get on people's shoulders and hold the ball up for someone else to dunk. It was really funny because there was a guy who looked a bit like Rob. Romesh and Rob started joking that he was Rob's son.

Neymar, Thiago Silva and Mbappe were at the game and I thought it was cool seeing them there because I love football. The guy who'd danced earlier was meeting them and Rob really wanted to meet Neymar so he tried to get towards him. But security stopped him and I felt so sorry for him. I wanted him to be able to meet Neymar since he seemed like a fan and he was pretty determined to meet him. Rob was really embarrassed as well, I know if it was me I would've been mortified.

After that I watched Top Gear and it was one that I'd seen the second half of. There was a bit where they had to go round a course in the fastest time and Chris Harris went first. He did alright and then Paddy McGuiness went and he did well. Last to go was Freddie and he ended up getting the car stuck so he lost and he had to wear a jumper in the roasting hot weather.

Where they were driving was hideous they had to go on a dirt road where rocks were falling. Then they got to a bit where there wasn't even a road! It seemed very dangerous and I definitely wouldn't want to driving in those conditions.

Then I watched more Eurovision and they showed the countries who would've been competing. I liked some of the songs but it's unfortunate that we didn't get to hear the whole song. The competitors can't enter with the same song next year either, it's a real shame.

I watched an A-Z of Eurovision and it showed a few past acts. I loved seeing Jedward on it, I love them. I remember when they were on X-Factor and I thought they were awful for a while but a few weeks into the live shows I ended up loving them.

I've loved them ever since then and I saw them on the X-Factor tour, it was my very first concert. It was a great concert and they sung Ghostbusters and flew through the air. It was very memorable.

I knew they'd been on Eurovision twice but I hadn't remembered that they'd came 8th the first time they were on. I thought they'd done a lot worse than that. Unfortunately the second time they were on they came 19th.

That's all for today, I hope you're all staying safe.
